Quotable"Obviously it's been a few years of rebuilding and we want to take the next step," said Nugent-Hopkins, the No. 1 pick at the 2011 NHL Draft. "We're ready to do that and all of us here are excited about this opportunity that we have. We're ready to make a playoff push."

"The standings don't interest me at all right now. They only count after 48." - Krueger on the Oilers being in 8th place.

It's hard not to have a let down after an 8-2 victory, and the Canucks will be seeking revenge, so 4-2 Oilers.

A win tonight would give me so much belief and pride in this team. Gonna be a tough task against a fired up Vancouver team, on the back end of a B2B

Canucks will either come out hard or flat. Their room might be shook after the Luongo fiasco and Derek Roy might need some time to gain chemistry with the team (watch him score a hatty now).

It'd be simply amazing if we pull out a win here.

I wish Smithson was in the lineup for tonight.

Man, I really hope the Oil can win tonight. I'd also like to see Bieksa lose a few chicklets.

Whatever the deal is with Hemsky...his TOI continues to be really low the last few games.

Now would be a great time for him to re-ignite.

We've won 5 straight.

I think the Nucks are gonna be pissed about last game and the Oilers are going to have a letdown after the 8-2 drubbing of the Flames.

I'm honestly expecting a Vancouver win; 6 straight wins would be incredible.

Let's go boys!

Beating the Iginla/Bouwmeester/Kiprusoff-less Flames is one thing, but tonight will be a much tougher test. A win tonight will go a long way in establishing us as a possible playoff team. We aren't going to win all the games from here on out, but if we can take a few from the top teams in the west, I'll feel a lot better about our chances.

Today is a really really important day for the Oilers playoff hopes. A win today along with the combination of DET and STL loses will put the Oil in a tie with DET for 7th and 3 points up on STL.

GO OILERS GO! Make it six!

Well I wouldn't want these guys in Europe or Asia to get up an hour early for nothing.
