Not exactly a 3M dollar player there. If I'm not mistaken the Hurricanes had to retain salary to get him out of there.
THat's what I meant, we could have claimed him off waivers even before the deadline. Yeah $3M isn't cheap, but at the same time, I think those are the types of deals this team is looking for, or should be looking for, buy low type of guys. Like Stafford, who was also underachieving.

I still like the Tangradi move over Jokinen. You don't know how much of his performance was environment. Tanger might not have produced as much as you'd like but I saw a real effort and more physical play than he was advertised as having.

Tangradi still is young enough to have upside should he continue to figure it out. He may never be a big scorer but if he becomes a big physical 3rd line winger I'm ok with that.

If my poor memory serves me... I think it was 1.5 million of the 3 Carolina kept.

Avalanche fire Sacco. If they get a decent coach they might be a threat next year. Stop improving, new conference!

I mentioned in another thread he did look a lot better the last few weeksk, and I'm sure some of his stat line is just bad luck, but man, those numbers are disappointing.

Doesn't really matter for me, but I know a lot of people want Boston to win in OT.

Great. Apparently US audience will be hearing "Chair-a" all night instead of "Chara."

Can't decide if I'd rather see a Montreal-Toronto series, or have Toronto face Boston and get their ***** kicked.

I'd prefer Boston.
Montreal has been having some goalie issues and if Price doesn't figure it out Toronto might think they are a legitimate playoff team...

Love players like Rich Peverley that don't get drafted, work their way up from the ECHL to the AHL to the NHL, get snatched off waivers by a less-than-stellar team but keep working hard, get traded to a better team that wants their services and finally end up hoisting the Stanley Cup!

Well, here is hoping the Bruins crush those Maple Losers in 4, and shut the Maple Loser obnoxious fanbase up for the rest of the payoffs!

GO BUINS GO!

I prefer this matchup for Toronto.

Boston should be able to dismantle them.

Cool, man.

I'm in.

if my predictions are correct, I had Vancouver and Chigago in one conference final, and ALMOST picked (but didn't) a Vancouver Boston Stanley cup final. MAN that'd be a nasty 10-12 game stretch for them.
