Frattin looked much better with Kadri, like I said I am sure glad I watch games and not believe what I read in the GDT's.

Was that the goal where the Philadelphia player latched onto his stick, pushing him out of position?

YOU CAN'T MAGICALLY BECOME AMAZING DEFENSIVELY IN THE PRESS BOX. YOU HAVE TO PLAY HIM SO HE CAN ADJUST TO THE NHL AGAIN. YOU HAVE TO BE PATIENT AND PUT UP WITH HIS MISTAKES FOR NOW.

God, imagine if Ottawa made Karlsson a healthy scratch all his rookie and sophomore season.

Also even if Gardiner was not eligible for waivers right now and could be sent down to the Marlies... What is there to learn? He needs to adjust to the NHL style and players again, not the AHL.

Some of you just don't get it.
Well he can become good defensively next year when we are not barely holding on to a playoff spot. Every point is crucial. RoB will play for Costco and that's what we will roll with. Are you okay with that?

it's a damned if do, damned if don't. WHAT do we give up to get those things, and how does it NOT hurt us? that's the problem. yah summer will be tough but again I think tha's what they were thinking, see who gets bought out with horrid contracts, and try to make trades.
well seeing as most of the trades this deadline included the popular 2nd round pick, IF we cant give up a 2nd round pick and B prospect then we should nt be in a playoff position. Clowe went for 2nd/13 3rd/13(fla) and conditonal 2nd/14

If we couldnt beat that without selling the farm then we are worse than i thought!

We know how you feel, you mention him in just about every second post.

My man is actually closer to Kadri, because I was with him all the way back to the nasty habits and before comments. I have to find the quote where I said he would outscore Grabo this year, though admittidely I didn't expect it to be almost 3 to 1.

Nah that was the one where Kule turned it over and Reimer didn't squeeze his arm tight enough.

Why continually point to the guy who never takes a shift off, worked his ass off in our end, I don't get it. He's a mess offensively right now, but he's never a liability.

The zebras seemed very fishy tonight. I was almost wondering if they are grazing some extra on the side.

You're right he doesn't take a shift off, he takes several shifts off along with plenty of games. Grabo is playing no where near his contract at the moment, I wouldn't be surprised if Randy has another talk with him soon.

Yep, glad to read someone notice it wasn't all Kostka tonight.

Refreshing to say the least, you win as a team and you lose as a team, and this team lost the game collectively tonight.

Bad game. We could've definitely won. I guess can't win them all. Some notes:

- Playmaker or not, Kessel's shots are really testing my patience. Either he shoots wide or either it gets deflected. It is almost like Kaberle now. Teams don't have to worry about him scoring a goal.
- Costco went wholesale tonight in giveaways. Time to see O'Byrne or Gardiner Saturday. Not sure of who, but Costco can sit.
- Good on JvR to come along. Hopefully he started a new streak.
- Reimer was mediocre.
- Refs were bad, but some of these nights are bound to happen.

PS: Winnipeg is now out of playoff picture. Caps are division leader.

Scrivens gets the start Saturday? Reimer was OK today, but mine as well give Scrivens a couple of games. I still don't think Reimer's lateral movement is where it needs to be probably because of his knee brace.

I watch all the games. I see Grabo score great solo goals then disappear for 10 games at a time all while being paid at a premium. If he was making less it wouldn't matter, but right now his 5.5 cap hit could be better used elsewhere.

Didn't post much here tonight but to anyone who did:

Did the Reimer haters come out in full force tonight? I'm sure Luongo was mentioned a few times.

As much as I love Orr and the purpose he serves on this team, he has no business playing anywhere but on the 4th line with limited minutes.

Grabo has taken shifts off this year, not sure what that guy is watching? Do you see fire burn the ice anymore? I don't...I didn't even see Grabo's skating miles tonight pretending to actually do something.

Or him getting pasted by the opposition, a bad momentum changer for us. All I see is a guy that loses puck battles and one that is just taking a spot away from a player that may make a difference for us.

Grabo has not been a difference maker for us this year, 3 weeks into no more shutdown role. A new excuse will surface for him now that that one is old and Kule is producing, this I am sure of.
