Crawford wasn't bad. First was tipped on a 2-1; 2nd what's-his-name probably couldn't sneak that one between Craw's pad and the post again if he had 10 tries; 3rd, eh, rebound. Horrible in the SO, but who cares? No SO in the Playoffs. Not great, but no "soft" goals.

If the hawks got the 2013 version of Elliot it's a cake walk, but he was solid. The Blues are a really good team this year ex goaltending (~4% worse SV% vs 2012, that's a goal a game difference.) Thankfully Halek is out again and probably not a factor this year, so the Blues are going to have to go with NHL-wosrt Elliot and an AHL guy.

THIS

Seriously! What the hell game were you people all watching?
Actually, it was an overtime (technically shootout) loss.

You play to win the game.

No moral victories are allowed, since this is not the 2005-06 Chicago Blackhawks.

They need to shape it up, these shootout losses are going to kill us once the playoffs roll around...

That's what the league wants you to think.

Tied the hockey game, lost the skills competition.

Never said there were.

But let's not pretend that they lost an actual hockey game. That's just stupid.

The Chicago Blackhawks are 6-5-1 in the last 12 games. Two completely unacceptable performances against two marginal playoff teams, the Predators and the Blues. The third period meltdowns still continue to this day.

Read back a little. Seabrook hasn't really played all that well all year, but once Keith turned up his game it seemed as if Seabrook has dialed it back even more. Most of the time he appears flat out lazy out there.

I really hope we can meet you guys in the 1st round. I do not care for Hossa and Kane but have a lot of respect for the rest of your club. It felt dangerous most of the night and you all could have easily caught a few bounces and had a different outcome. That game started to rekindle the kind of rivalry we used to have.

See you guys in the PO's

I don't know about most of the other fans of the two fanbases, but I would say the rivalry is quite healthy. A playoff series would only intensify it.

The Detroit Red Wings fans mourn the loss of Marian Hossa to this day especially on the HF board.

I'd rather see Bertuzzi, Cleary, Sammy on the Detroit Red Wings roster than Hossa.

I remember (at the time) laughing at Wings fans who insisted Holland made the right choice and that Franzen was a better player than Hossa.

Still funny.

I'm struck by the fact that this team is never getting "outplayed". Off nights, fatigue at times, but 36 games and only one blowout loss. The other 35 it's a win or a one-goal loss (ex the one EN, but it's amazing that the hawks only have one EN goal.)

Yep, the Hawks have had one stinker all year. They've had games where they weren't at their best - some they lost, some they won - but they've been in basically every game they've played.

But, they're probably gonna get exposed in the playoffs.

Keith on for all 3 against.

Crawford gives up 2 goals to a 27 year old with 4 career goals coming in.

Game over.
