not even close, you're not gonna find anyone give you a first rounder in this draft for that package, especially the pens if it is a weighted lottery

i can't tell if this is serious or not...

habs get fleury, 1st rounder, and the zamboni driver?

we just get dagenais and sundstrom?

i wouldn't even trade the zamboni driver alone for that package.

What he said. Especially not for those two players.

A little friendly advice. Edit your proposal or invest in a fire extinguisher, because you're about to get flamed into oblivion.

Fleury and a 1st for Sundstrom and Dagenais

Bad. Very bad. Since it's your first attempt, try to think of a proposal that doesn't include your team bending over another team. Why would Pittsburgh, who are still rebuilding, give up their shot at Crosby, just to get back 2 fringe NHL's??

Kind of like those good old Jonas Hoglund/Cory Cross proposals from a few yrs ago. Of course the Leafs will be able to get Rob Blake for that package.

Nah, Rob Blake is too young for the Leafs.. he isn't in his 40's yet

I'm having a hard time resisting the urge to flame.

Let's just say this proposal is not even close to realistic.

This proposal is comical at best.

If I am the Penguins, I wouldn't even trade MAF alone for Dagenais and Sundstrom.

I think that if Montreal wanted MAF and a First rounder they would have to give up.....

To Montreal: MAF, First Rounder

To Pittsburgh: Ribeiro, Ryder, Zednik (Not sure if thats even enough)

Before everyone thinks he was looking for MAF and a 1st rounder, I think he was looking for a 1st round pick only. He also didn't state what year he was considering, even though it wouldn't matter, your not getting a 1st rounder from any team for the 2 players mentioned from Montreal.
For Hab13, I know you only threw the proposal out there, but you may wanna try to make it a little realistic, or be prepared to get torched from posters who only read your first post in the thread.

Maybe Dagenais and Sundstrom for a 2nd rounder... maybe closer in value... but why would Montreal want to just ditch these two again?

What if our prospects don't pan out... its always a possibility and I wouldn't want to be left crippled up front. Wait till the kids prove themselves (and I have confidence that they will) before you toss the rest to the wolves.

I'm rather suprised people took me seriously.. thanks for the laughs folks! I laughed like a fool when people mistook my lunch for a goal tender!

I promise, the next proposal I make will be a serious one and not just a way to conqeur my boredom! I blame Bettman and Goodenow actually.. I should be thinking about the playoffs right about now.

Well, what if I removed the 1st round pick? Would it work then?

It's hard to guage the Zamboni driver's value. He'll be 31 and a UFA this July.
