They can be, with some biggins like Gaustad (who netted 2 tonight) and Thorburn and a good amount of gritty guys.

For a while tonite, I thought the Bulldogs might actually hold on and win. Hopefully game 2 will have a better outcome.

But how about Tomas Vanek! Actually getting ASSISTS!

How do the Dogs contain Vanek?

The guy has been murder so far in the series. I knew containing him would be key, and so far, from what we've been unable to do so. Granted I've only listened to the game on the radio, but it still seems like the Dogs are ineffective at slowing him down.

He's got 1 G (GWG) and 2 A so far, to go along with 14 shots.

I'm repeating myself, but if the Dogs don't solve Miller and shut down Vanek this series is over. They've been unable to do either so far, but hopefully on home ice they'll come up with some other game plan to sovle those two.

Isn't that insane? 14 shots in two games. The Bulldogs definitely have to find a way to stop Vanek from getting so many shots off. He is just far too dangerous. 2nd in the league in goals as a rookie.

Awards:
Novotny plays hero in Game 3 with two goals, including the winner at 16:40 of the third to give the Amerks their only lead of the game...

3-0 Rochester, it seems the 'Dogs youth seemed to do them in tonight after they seemed to fall completely asleep.
