He's scored in his own net this year, hasn't he? I know he had 2 last season.

In the other team's net? Not a chance, I'd say. I'll be happy if his shots don't just hit shin pads and actually reach the net. No idea what has happened to any ounce of offensive skill he had in his body.

Well the #1 reason on our PP is because he is playing on the wrong side of the ice.

Put him on the left side for the love of Gawd.

And usually when he hits shin pads he is standing still and takes too long to let the shot go.

There's a lot more to offensive skill than being able to shoot...

Agreed. EJ lacks those other aspects as well.

Yes, but it wasn't as nice a shot as ROR's in his first game back.

Right now he is not very comfortable playing the point, and is pretty clueless where to go without the puck on his stick. Will he get another goal?? No. Will he get another point?? Probably.

He's averaging over 2 shots a game. Im not saying his offense is good or anything, but he does get shots to the net. Especially in his last few games.

I think he'll get 1 or maybe even 2. He's had a couple decent chances the last few games.

But with Saccos system or whatever you wanna call it, its pretty hard for our Defenders to score any type of goal, we hardly ever get good offensive pressure.

Just another example of how Sacco is a bad coach.

To be fair, ROB scored a goal, and if he can anybody can.

It would be nice to beat Detroit but Calgary's tank looks really good so the Avs need to keep losing.

Sacco's system was good enough last year for our defensemen to score 26 goals or somenthing.

Johnson is straight bust, at draft day, and the trade

It is looking that way, yes.

Shattenkirk is a much smarter player. Bad trade.

Still doesn't make sense that EJ isn't playing 25 minutes a night. At least TRY it.

There has been very few positives this year. (Duchene, PAP, Hishon returning, Barrie). I think if Avs could help make the Red Wings miss the playoffs, it would be another positive.

The rivalry isn't what what it used to be. I'm rather indifferent about them to be honest. But with them going east, giving them a sending off gift for old times sake would be nice.

Hopefully Bordy plays as well this game as he did in Detroit. He had 8 hits that game and was really laying into guys.

Couldn't have said it any better myself.

Not that I'm old enough to remember the rivalry anyways...

Roy to center ice.. the bench clearing fight... I'll forget my son when I'm 80 but that'll be vivid still.
