Stephens got awarded a phantom assist on Moutrey's goal. Watch the replay, Patterson made a beautiful long pass to Moutrey at the far blue line and he scored with a nice wrist shot.

Even if that is the case, my point was sometimes you need to change things up when the PP isn't working. Trying out Stephens for one game is worth a shot.

I believe he was scratched so Orban could play in front of his friends and family. I expect DeSousa will be in the lineup tonight.

Ya was nice move to centre. I think Adddison got denied a goal on some good work in offensive zone with a deflection of Alexeev shot as well. The replay announcers seem to have picked up on that one, but too late to have refs take stripes back to foot locker.*

Interesting game things definitely look different than last couple years. I think teams are going to find it hard to know where the 1st 2nd 3rd or 4th line is and that's what you want. That gets you to mem cup.*

Some guys seem to be trying too hard to do things on own though, not as many nice give and go plays except Sadowy goal with Trafford's assist (just like in practice) full speed ahead.

Got come out of tonight's game without suspensions and then on to big test against K.*

Do you think his speed on big ice tonight would help.?

Simply put yes I think his speed and a little bit of a revenge factor make it likely he will be in the lineup tonight. DeSousa has stepped up his game since his arrival he is making better decisions and not turning the puck over as much as he did at first, so unless there is an injury he has earned his shot. I am starting to like Orbans game more he is good positionally and starting to use his size a little more but the big ice may hurt him due to his lack of speed. You never know Gilbert could go with 7 d tonight would not be unheard of this year.

Stephens make no mistake about it has arguably the best acceleration from anyone in the 2013 draft including Konecny. Stephens is a puzzling player though, his compete level from game to game is not there. He could be dangerous every single shift with his skating ability....for watever reason it does not happen. I will be very surprised if those above issues dont show themselves this year, if they dont good on him. Playing as an underager on the 96 Marlies, Stephens has basically the same skating ability, acceleration etc, as Hosang and Mcdavid.

Desousa has the physical attributes, the skating and is a strong kid but his hockey sense is very questionable and to this point is a major road block in his progression as a player.

[QUOTE=bcspragu;73970991]Sonny name one good player that Saginaw let go with no compensation?

The better question is what was spent on getting these players in the first place. They had to either be drafted or brought in with a trade so what did JP give up to bring in these guys who walked for nothing.

I Disagree, don't see his acceleration even close to the other two. Actually I find that he is behind a step with his line mates and plays on the perimeter. Also, his compete level is not there yet. He is very lucky to be playing with veterans on the wing.

Apparently he had a ice pack on last night. Upper body injury maybe.

We just won 9-4 against Kingston on the back end of a 3 in 3, all of which were on the road in the eastern conference. Wow. Outscored the opponents 21-10 on the trip. Great job.

geez whats wrong with Kingston? started out so good and they have fallen apart the last few weeks. Looks like Saginaw is finally rounding into form, that division is going to be tough to win with SSM playing like they are.

Defiantly. Keefe has got the Soo playing really well and Murray is playing lights out, but when we played the greyhounds a week ago I thought we looked just as good aside from the terrible second period.

Anyone have a boxscore of this Saginaw-Kingston game. Official OHL site never updated past the first period.

More specifically I am looking for the stat lines of Eric Locke and Justin Kea.

Thanks.

Thanks.
Game summary now up.

Locke: 1g, 3a, +2
Kea: 2g, 1a, +4

Side note: Kea has added an enforcer role to his game this year. Don't know if Buffalo told him to work on that, but I like it especially with his size.

perhaps? The East is definitely behind the rest, at least right now. I'd put the top four teams in the west (SSM, Guelph, Erie, London) above anybody from the east, though Oshawa is close.
