I hate Winnipeg and their annoying/disrespectful fans. They only held a playoff spot due to a slumping/injured Capitals team and a severely hampered Carolina team. Winnipeg is just the product of streakiness and chance. They are not even close to being a playoff team.

They suck on the road and all of those losses have been on the road.

I really want caps to win it all this year (behind us of course . They're a good team and for such a good team they are really overshadowed by teams like the penguins and bruins and blackhawks. For good reason of course, but I think it would be nice to see a new team win it, epecially one that was close to missing the playoffs.

Bruins remaining schedule has them play only 3 teams currently in a playoff spot in their final 10 games .. Ottawa, Pittsburgh, and Washington

They better take the division, if not they'll be pretty vulnerable in the first round

They were doing pretty well until Ward got injured. Then Ellis got hurt. We would suck as well if we had to play Rynnas for a majority of the season.

I know

It's more than that tho. All that money spent on the offensive end
Yet they still aren't that great offensively - they have poor scoring depth and the blueline is blue collar.
Much like Tampa they suck so bad defensively

Where would we be if Reimer and Scrivens went down?

Give the Canes, Jones to go with that other kid of theirs and the back end will be solid and the team will be a cup contender in a few years.

I also think its good Washington is back in the mix. The idea of them adding a top 5 pick from this draft, is a scary thought.

Why do they need Jones?

They have...

The
Ryan
Murphy.

Pronger & McInnis
Suter and Chelios
Suter and Weber
Zubov and Leetch
McCabe and Kaberle
Keith and Seabrook

Having a two great D-men on the top pairing is a good thing.

Ryan Murphy doesn't even need a D partner. He's a one man team.

Sweeeeeet, Bruins within a point of the Habs with a game in hand and thus being far far away from meeting the Leafs in the 1st round.

Come on keep winning B's and start losing more consistently Habs like you know you should!!!!

Leafs vs. Habs 2013 SC playoffs would be mind blowing (but Leafs winning is a must!!!)

Leafs vs. Bruins? come on we've waited how long 8 years for playoffs and we have to play our most dreaded opponent 1st round????

I'll take it but come on!

If we win both our games against them, we likely put them in 4th.

I was able to catch some of the Hawks/Wild game last night. The Hawks are just in a different league compared to the rest of the teams now. Their ability to make plays off the rush, crash the net, and their tenacious pressure when not in possesion of the puck make them dangerous no matter where they are on the ice. When they are on, it seems like every pass they make is tape to tape. Last night the Wild were doing their boring old crap, and collapsing down low every time the Hawks entered the zone. In response to this, the Hawks dumped it into the corner, sent thier fast forward after the puck and crashed the net HARD. That generated some really good chances for the entire 1st peroid. A little sharper shooting would have seen them get a 2-0 lead early on. And as Minnesota is, they were playing to avoid mistakes in the offensive zone. Always sending in 2 forwards deep and keeping the dmen high. Don't think I saw a single pinch out of their dman the few times they established zone time. Not gonna beat good teams often playing like that.

The Wild are the classic defensive team who clog 2/3 of the ice, and hope to score a couple from the few chances they get. Pretty pathetic given the quality of players they have. They are having success - but honestly, I wouldn't pay to watch a team like that even if they were winning.

New Jersey. IIRC they have 5 wins since February 26th (or somewhere around there).

EDIT - Feb 21

15 wins in 39 games. If not for the loser points, NJ would be in contention for Jones.
