Petes will Make mem cup

As I said before I bet the Petes will make the memorial cup, they have a solid team that has allot of heart. The Ottawa series will be tough but I would say petes in Six.

At this point they are definately strong favourites to be the other OHL team in the Memorial Cup.

However, what's going to happen once they are there? I think they may end up being in over their heads a little in a tournament with teams such as London/Rimouski/Kooteney. Not saying they can't win - anything is possible, but the odds would be against them.

Nothing wrong with being the under dogs, Peterborough has a very skilled team, they beat London pretty bad this year if you dont remember

I am well aware of the beating given to London by PB this year, they were the only team in the entire season to really get into London's head. They almost did it a second time this year before the knights woke up. Unfortunately with only 2 games between the teams this season I wasn't able to find out whether that was an anomaly or not.

I guess the reason I mention this is firstly because the Pete's record was fairly mediocre this year (although they've been tearing it up in the playoffs) and I'd really like to see two competitive OHL teams in the Mem Cup. Both other leagues could put in a couple of teams that would have as good as shot as anyone to win the cup (WHL could probably put in 4 or 5) and I'd like to see both OHL teams up to the competition. If they do make it, I hope they're as competitive as you say as there will be 3 ridiculously strong teams there.

Wouldn't it be something if Perry won the OHL title in his hometown of PBO

I am predicting a London/PBO final w/ London taking that series in 5.
I am taking London over Kitchener in 6
and PBO over Ottawa in 5 (maybe 6)

You already predicted a Petes/Knights final with the Knights winning. Stop second guessing yourself - you were right the first time.

Lucky break in game 1. Could have gone either way.
Petes played uninsipired and horrible in game 2.

The series is far from over.

Yeah.... if they dont win game 3 its over in 4. All Ottawa needed was one win in Peterborough they are extremely tough at home.

This prediction is looking worse and worse.

Ott up in the series 3-0!

If Knights beat Kitchener, Ott makes the memorial cup!!!! This would have been unthinkable, considering that the regular season 67's were mediocore....

This playoff version is a monster

Danny Batocchio is suddenly the best goalie in the OHL

Brian Kilrea is awesome. This isn't the first time a mediocre 67s team has gone on an extended playoff run.

Battochio has been unbelievable and to think he has yet to be drafted.

There will be some scouts taking a long, long look come Memorial Cup.

Brian Kilrea deserves alot of credit in this series, great coaching. Gutsy effort by the 67's, and there, now the Petes won't even be in the mem. cup.

I wonder if the Petes didn't get caught thinking ahead to a Memorial Cup berth? They sure didn't seem ready for this round.

How can you take a team lightly that was so close? The 67's were 5 points back scored more goals allowed less smoked Peterborough in the last game they played of the regular season and had the better second half. I dont buy that they were looking past them, the 67's are an older team with more depth and better goaltending thats why they won.
