At this time of year sometimes the worst teams are the ones you don't want to face. They're bitter about how the season has went and relish the opportunity to be a spoiler. While I don't fully disagree with your point, there's no easy out when you're fighting for a playoff spot this time of year. The flipside is that the top teams often have their spot locked up and will rest stars, play their back-up, etc.

ISS April Scout Rankings for Draft.

Erne not in top 30, Nurse moves up quite a bit as well as Zadarov, Monahan drops to 9, and the Russian is ranked 2! ^_^

At this point, I'd like to see him taken before we pick too so that he knocks a quality player down a spot.

At this point I'm hoping one of Nurse or Lindholm falls to where we pick. I'd be happy with either one. I'd also be fairly amused if we took Max Domi with the Minnesota pick.

Won't the rankings change like 30 times before that actual draft?

As the rankings today, i'd be happy with Monahan, Lindholm, or Horvat

I believe the next rankings will be the final ones conducted.

No, the vast of majority of players have had their seasons come to an end.
There's two more rounds of playoffs in the CHL, the Memorial Cup, and the IIHF U18 tournament this week.
That's about it.

6ft 207lb 19yr old Dman, someone tell me he has a nasty streak and plays a shut down role so I can fall in love early.

After a quick googling I've seen some reports that he's a big 2way banger and some reports say he's highly mobile PMD who plays a smart game before the physical game. The fact that it looks like his icetime has steadily increased all season seams a + though. If we are to dive on D in the top 10 he better be physical on the puck and have an excellent first pass.

Trade up for Lindholm or Monahan. It shouldn't be that hard to trade up a few spots with the assets we have.

It will certainly be easier moving up for one of these two as opposed to moving up for one of the Top 3.

Agree. I'd like to see a Hodgson-Lindholm 1-2 center combo going forward into the future. The Sabres can back them with Girgensens, or even trade for the two-way center they need to back that duo.

I think Larsson could very well be the "two way center"

Lindholm is as two way as they get, wouldn be a great pick

I didn't realise Gauthier was that big, wow. What does he have to work on? That size is appealing.

Seems a little tentative offensively from what little I've seen of him, but that might also be influenced by what I had read about him before seeing him. Moves well for a big man, probably needs time to grow into his body coordination and strength-wise. Our more draft-involved folks could probably detail more.

Gauthier was one of the talking points in TPS's MacLean/ISS segment this past Saturday .. scroll to ~5:20 in THIS link .. described him as "a poor man's Keith Primeau" .. "two-way thinker, great size, protects the puck very well, has presence"

Larsson. Plus, Lindholm is a two way center himself. Lindholm, Hodgson, Larsson and Kea down the middle is what I want.

I'm sold. I don't see him slipping to the 2nd with that size at center, and what I'm reading about him. Perhaps with the Wild pick?

Assuming they all hit their potential...drool.

X - Hodgson - Armia
Grigorenko - Lindholm - X
Girgensons - Larsson - Foligno
Tropp - Kea - Kaleta

Sounds like the beginnings of either a very good or very bad team depending on how the progress a few years down the line.

5 & 25

they couldve packaged 25 & 2nd to move up a few spots if needed, even if they stayed at 25, looking over the latest mocks, theres quite a few guys i like there anyways.
