Uhh.

Freedom of speech means freedom from government censorship of speech.

It doesn't mean that nobody can disagree with you or call you an idiot for saying particular things.

post-Eddy-edit: And since nobody in here is claiming "Nail Yakupov shouldn't be allowed to make an ass of himself on twitter" this doesn't really have anything to do with rights and freedoms.

It is hilarious, but you know they'll end up scoring in the lottery again and getting one of the big 3

Big big big game tonight between Winnipeg and Washington. Too bad Winnipeg played last night and has to travel. Pretty close to a must win for them with only one game left after this... Washington having two... and the tie breaker.

Winnipeg plays Montreal next; Washington plays the Bruins and Senators.

If Edmonton gets one of the top three I will seriously misplace my feces!!!!!!! One should be compensated for struggle, not rewarded for incompetence.

I misplaced my feces yesterday. Thought I was going to fart...... nope.

Baggy shorts, ran down my leg...

15 minutes earlier I walked to my kids school to give them their lunch. What if it happened then in front of all their friends? We'd obviously have to move to a different city.

Might have to swith back to briefs... depends.

People who categorize each other as idiots is why we haven't had a war since the creation of the United Nations.

OT - Interestingly enough, there were about as many Canadian volunteers who chose to fight in Vietnam (in the American army) as American draft dodgers who fled to Canada during this period.

Calgary doing whatever it takes to tank. They're healthy scratching 4 of their remaining 5 highest scorers (Cammalleri, Stempniak, Stajan, and Backlund) tonight.

The 11 forwards they're dressing other than Hudler have a combined 532 games experience and 91 points and a good portion of those are from Brian McGrattan. Here's their forward lineup against Nashville:

Baertschi-Reinhart-Cervenka
Hudler-Horak-Aliu
Bancks-Byron-McGrattan
Hanowski-Street-Jones

They should be fined by the NHL for that... or taken out of the lottery. People pay money to see those games.

What exactly is the coach supposed to do during the game? Encourage them to fail?

They are giving guys a shot.

I'd hope we'd do the same if ever faced with the same predicament.

They've had since the trade deadline to give guys a shot. Now that last place is within reach they bench 4 of their top scorers?

I no like.

I'm going to allow it, to hopefully block Edmonton from getting any closer to a higher pick

I think it would be hillarious if Edmonton got another first overall. Just more egg on their face when they ultimately fail. Four firsts in a row and nothing to show for it when they all bolt for free agency... or can't afford to build a team around the one's that stick around... or the one's that stick around never reach their potential because they were thrown to the wolves way to soon in their careers........ ahhh, so many heart warming scenarios.

this should receive a response from the nhl in the form of a fine or a lost late round draft pick

figures that calgary can't even tank correctly...they trade iginla and bouwmeester expecting to tank, kiprosoff gets hot and the team wins a bunch of games, so they have to take these measures to shore up their draft pick
