I heard this on AC, apparently David Kreijci said after the game that the reason they don't shoot the puck at the end of the 3rd is because the ice is bad at the Bell Center.

The wheel of excuses...

Right. A puck is shot from the point by Boychuk, hits Paille in the back which causes the puck to be deflected and the change in direction fools Price.

So, based on that, DD, Pacioretty, DD, Gallagher, DD were a liability because they let Paille turn his back.

What happened on their other shifts? Price was elite, right?

Enjoy that bitterness on a great night for the Canadiens. I will savor the win and smile at our team's effort tonight.

I was actually thinking sometime during the 3rd tonight that I want to hear Cuthbert calling our games now. As much as Cole has a great voice for play-calling, he's so awkward all the time now. Cuthbert is sharp at all times.

5 games in 7 days while playing with 5 D. The habs had reason to lose this game, but still found a way. Add in the other 2 wins in Boston, where the habs got the short end of the scheduling, and you just have to admire this team's ability to get the job done.

Its also nice to see chuckie reviving his game at a time where alot of rookies start to lose it.

Way to go habs!!!

Strange that, with such a bad ice, all you choose to do is....pass the puck as many times as you can. Somehow, with bad ice, you pass it to Chara, you charge the net and try picking the rebound. But no...let's try to justify that with a bad ice condition, the greatest plays are actually to pass the puck....Good job David.

To be honest, guys, I'm genuinely worried about Jagr on the Bruins. He was pretty strong and very skilled tonight, the only reason he didn't do anything is because he's playing with plugs.

He's got the right attitude; proof of his "the ice is bad for both teams". I hope it's not contagious; you could have a Bruins team with genuine balls.

Do not want a Bruins team with a good attitude. Too dangerous

I really like the job Eller did tonight. That penalty he took was not even bad since Chara dove and the refs put up their whistles tonight until that play.

Are you still trying to pump up Eller by bringing DD down? Hasnt worked so far this year. Therrien still believes in the roles that each center plays.

All that whining about DD does is make you look petty and bitter on a night when the Canadiens beat the badass Bruins to increase their lead.

I dont know about you but the Canadiens looked great tonight.

Go Habs Go
Im a habs fan not an Eller homer. There's nothing wrong with point out criticism when it's valid. DD didn't play well, but I'm not harping about it to grind an axe. He's been great many times this year, just not tonight. It was clear and plain this game he played poorly and is fine to point it out. Gionts was bad too and Ellers penalty was bone headed. You are right that we should focus on the win but we can discuss the ups and downs.

If I'm Jagr I ask to be sent down to Providence. I wouldn't want to play for that diving, dirty team.

Eller should be careful. You know what happens when you slightly piss off Chara.

Funny thing is, if the ice is indeed bad, it should work to the bruins advantage more than the habs, just based on the style played.

As for the eller penalty... as much as Chara helped it along, you're asking for trouble when you put your free hand on the opposition. No reason for Eller to take that risk at that juncture.
