Totally agree.

Either David Backes or Alex Steen is going to score today. They've been simply dominant. That top line with Perron looks very strong.

Yep. I'm still surprised no tean in the League offered him a 1-way contract last summer. Glad they didn't...

You were factually wrong and all of Perron's fanboys say he should be 60-65+ and now he is down to a pace of 50. The only games in that small sample that he played well in was Dallas and Minnesota and those are huge outliers that throw the pace off.

I don't want to keep doing this.

Looked like he lost an edge, but we got away with one earlier, so it's fair.

Officially boycotting the Winter Classic. Tired of seeing the same teams.

You haven't produced any evidence at all to be "factually wrong or right". The 56 point pace he was on was about right for his expectations, and that was, as you so scientifically described, was the "bad Perron." He has been a prolonged scoring drought recently which isn't acceptable. Though his overall game has been better, he needs to score. I have been on Backes' pace for similar reasons all year. That said, given Perron's streakiness, he could be right back to a 60 point pace after another hot streak.

This is true. They missed a blatant DoG which would have given them a 5 on 3. We can't complain about one call.

It's been that kind of game,Detroit have thrown some elbows,2 missed high sticks... Just chippy overall and being let go.

Elliott faced a tougher period and was very strong. He's certainly mentally on top of it and competing hard that way. Really working hard.

Pietrangelo is having a very strong game. So's Jackman. Loving me some Chris Porter. Classic earned grinder goal. Still liking Schwartz.

Backes didn't commit a penalty but I'd rather have had that called than the delay of game.

Both teams are playing very well. I think the Blues are the superior-built team but when both teams play well these games are always going to be close. Last official division game with Detroit ever.

And you saying he was on a .8 per game or 65 point pace before that point and then proving he wasn't doesn't count as proving that factually wrong? Just stop.

I'm very happy with the way Elliott is playing. But, still, I am surprised that Hitch started him over Allen in this super-crucial game. I hope he can keep this shutout. That will help his confidence immensely.

This lineup with a healthy Oshie is our best chance at making a deep run. Top to bottom.

Rotate Nichol in and out as needed.
