NHL.com annoys me. Voting for top 8 GMs, Murray doesn't get a single vote apparently, while the likes of Gillis, Yzerman, and Burke are listed in the "others receiving votes" list. Burke isn't even a GM anymore...

I'm not saying Murray is a top 8 GM, but he gets no respect.

From the same group that gave John Tortorella more votes for best coach than Paul MacLean.

And half of their "Top-8 coaches in NHL today" are not even in the playoff spot atm.

Aren't they rating them based on their overall careers and not just this current season?

Well you should be.

Murray should win GM award this year or at least be nominated.

There isn't a better GM in the League at the moment than Ray Shero, the guy is unbelievable.

Yeah, makes sense in this case.
Why is Brodeur number 6 in their top-8 goalies vote then?

I see that the Flames beat upon the Oilers when Edmonton's season was on the line

What a complete joke Edmonton is; it's nice to see incompetence fail

At this point I just hope they stay out of the top 5-7 draft picks. They don't deserve a shot at Jones/Drouin/MacKinnon/Barkov/Monahan. Perfect example of a team that needs to learn to draft outside of the obvious choices. Picking at the start of each round in 2010/2011/2012 should've given them some good depth. Instead it looks like only their first rounders are going to amount to much.

Trading for Jussi Jokinen (while having the Canes retain 30% of his salary) worked out wonders for Pittsburgh...and Morrow has been superb for them. Iginla? Not great but I think we will find out when Crosby returns...and besides, they gave up some low key prospects and a 1st rounder.

He's done everything that he could. Now, the pressure is on the coaches and players to deliver...and I have a feeling Pittsburgh is not going to get it done (NYR in first round).

Anderson needs to stay in God Mode if we are to have any chance at the Jennings.

Helps a lot when you tanked for 6 years accumulating the best player in the world and other top talent.

Damn, I totally forgot about that.

Chicago needs to start playing some high scoring games.

He would also need to play in every single game to finish the season. I think you need to have started in at least 25 games unless that was cut in half for the shortened season.

You only need to play 15.

Ottawa can be first team in NHL history to have three win it.

Highly unlikely because Lehner would have to start 5 of the last 7 to reach 15 games.

Watching Chicago's broadcast of games on GCL makes me jealous. Sportsnet seems amateur in comparison. The commentary and the replay analysis between whistles is outstanding, interviews with players/coaches on the bench, intermissions are proper with actual analysis. Phoenix have a camera in the dressing room and that looks cool.

Pittsburgh gets way too much hate just because they get a lot of the spotlight and I'd argue they deserve all the respect they get

That is a well built team that manages to get the most out of it's assets

I really don't get the hate; it's not like they're on the same level as Canucks or the Leafs.
