Safe to assume that Keith, Letang, and Doughty will round out the top 10.

Agreed. Good defenseman, but ranked too high.

Between Doughty & Kieth, I'll go with Doughty.

I agree completely. He is even a family friend on ours. I however will add he has worlds of potential and strong values. Maybe he is ranked so high because everyone sees the potential. Just was trying to think of a reason for him to be that high

More putting more stock into last season and the year before than this. He's been visibly worse this season for whatever reason, but it's been a weird year with the lockout.

Doughty.

Add Kronwall. 4th in points amongst all D-men and better defensively than several of those listed.

The whole St. Louis Blues team has noticeably regressed this season. They've gone from 2pts from the President's Trophy and 1st in GA/G to just barely clinging onto 8th place and a very average 18th in GA/G.

It is widely accepted that Ken Hitchcock coached teams have a visible peak and subsequent expiry date. The Blues had a Cinderella season in 11/12 often looking like the NHL's best team and most cohesive defensive unit. They have since come back down to earth and some of their wrinkles have been showing. Whether they continue to slide is anyone's guess, but I feel that the Blues have a very deep and talented squad and should seriously contend for the Stanley Cup for at least the next 5 seasons.

They had a small hiccup which seemed huge due to the shortened schedule.

My thoughts exactly, on my personal list he'd have been 4th behind Karlsson, Chara, and Weber.

The two first ok, but Doughty is not better than Edler.

I would rank Letang and Doughty above him. Pietrangelo was way over hyped this summer after he had a strong finish to the season. He has a long way to go before he catches the top 3 of Karlsson, Chara and Webber.

Doughty. I plan on giving a vote to Kronwall soon, so add him if you could in the next few.

Would of have DD,Keith and Letang ahead of OEL. He's awesome but not there yet in terms of all-around play.

Why is everyone so high on OEL? I've honestly never watched him play, but looking at his stats they aren't really very impressive. I'm assuming theres more to him than whats on paper.

And what do you think those wrinkles are exactly? This team is definitely not like last season and their are some very specific reasons why.
