Winger Patrick Sharp (left shoulder) could make trip to Minnesota and face Wild on Tuesday night.

Nashville really looks disinterested. I say 3-1 Hawks.

bad news guys, apparently kovalchuk is the best rw in the nhl, kane is borderline top 3 and hossa is ~8. Or so says the main board.

Kovalchuk is a great player but gets a ton of minutes... his production isn't particularly good (relative to other top RW's, like St. Louis and Kane) given that fact.

Of course, he's apparently become a wondrous defensive player now. Which is of course not true at all. But throw a guy on the PK and he automatically gets the "great defensively" label...

Kane has been better this season, not even close. Given Kovalchuk's pattern of decline in terms of production per minute played, it's clear who is now the better player.

I'm predicting either a goalie controversy heading into the playoffs, or Crawford starts on a leash that's not very long.

Personally I'd rank them more like this.

1. Kane
2. St. Louis
3. Kovalchuk
4. Perry
5. Hossa
6. Ovechkin
7. Nash
8. Eriksson
9. Semin
10. Kessel

Agreed, although I'd move Ovechkin to 2nd. Would probably move Semin ahead of Eriksson but that's just splitting hairs. Good list overall

I'm iffy on moving him any higher than where I have him because he's only played the right side this year.
