The guy who did all the work and was the reason for that goal?

We'll have some very high end talent after the draft, we need to make sure we get the most of it.
We are all just heartbroken. I will raise this Avalanche flag until I die in Saint John, NB, Canada.

Sad state of affairs going on here. The crest should be front and center just like Duchene and Johnson believes. Hockey is not an individual sport.

I'm so happy with the Pap signing thus far because he seems to care every game.

I'm not happy with our coach looking COMPLETELY dumbfounded every game, not happy with Jones's "performance". The compete level in this team just doesn't exist.

Boston is a great example. Bad for years and ownership was cheap to say the least. Had a bad coach, GM and team and thing were going down hill fast. Boston is a BIG ticket in New England and fans were not showing up at the rate they were in the past.

Bring in Cam Neely, respect and direction and you now have a team.
If I can stick by the Broncos and still be a season ticket holder during the Josh McDaniels era...this is cake.

In retrospect, the one thing I am grateful for this season is that was shortened by the strike. Can you imagine if we had to put up with a full season of this horrible coaching and play? Too think I was actually looking forward to this season last summer!

Haha, Elliott Friedman re-tweated Dater's quote from Jiggy about vegas. Even the likely non Av fans in the responses think it's O'Brien.

This is gonna be an ugly dressing room the rest of the way here.

I think this is much worst but I love hockey We are all wired different is all. Been watch and playing the game since 1980 and hate what I am seeing. I look at my entertainment as a product. Nothing more, nothing less. I have seen and cheered for great players like Cam Neely, Ray Bourque, Andy Moog, Pete Peters, Reed Larson, Joe Sakic, Peter Forsberg and Patrick Roy.

I work my ass off on what I do for a living and keep my clients happy. I simply expect the same from the team I cheer for in the sport I have loved for years. This whole effort is insulting to me and I turn things off when I see that. Again, thats how I am wired.

Agreed with this. The Avs really got going when they got Roy and Keane. The Avs don't need to get guys that good, but they need to get a real winner.

You make a good point, but I think most of the Avs fans talking about Roy, are doing so thinking he may be the best choice of Av connected candidates, given we all think that's who PL will pick again.

No easy answers. The questions facing this team are complex. Just a sad, sad, sad state of affairs all around.
Pictures of you
Ohh they're still on my mind
You had this smile
That could light up the world
Now when it rains it seems
The sun never shines

And I drive
Down this lonely, lonely road
Oooh I got this feelin'
Girl I gotta let you go

Cause now you've got to fly high (fly high)
Fly to the angels
Heaven awaits your heart
And flowers bloom in your name
Woahh ohh
You've got to fly (fly high),
Fly to the angels
All the stars in the night
Shine in your name
Too bad, I just can't walk away from this train wreck. It's not like there is some macabre part of me wanting to witness more badness, I still actually want to see this team turn it around. I just don't see how it can happen with PL still at the top of the pyramid and I don't see the Kroenke's ever giving him walking papers. It's almost like we are the reincarnation of the Chicago Blackhawks with dollar bill Wirtz in charge.

This team has become the laughingstock of the entire NHL. We absolutely BLOW.
I'm not going to watch games when I know there is a 95% chance we are going to lose. There are a million other things to do with 2.5 hours of time than watch a pathetic team with no system and zero creativity skate around the ice where the best entertainment is watching a midget with a ginormous beard turn the puck over multiple times a shift and get scored on every single game.

Meh, it's better than cheering against your team.

This is the first game, I've missed on purpose this year anyway.

Or a guy with half a brain. Keane would be the worst, he isnt a winner either.

The look on Landy's face just kind of sums up the season.

He, along with PAP and Lando, will probably go play in the WC (May 3 - 16 in Sweden/Finland) aka Olympic try-outs.

So why is everyone not thrilled in this thread? We're pulling it off, after a season of misery we're almost at the finish line and we've almost pulled it off.

We probably have a bit of a multiple personality hang over from posting in the Flames forum. We forgot it's better for the Avs lottery chances that they lost.

O'Brien for sure. I would be very surprised if he's not the ringleader here. Wilson is another possibility. O'Reilly always talks about O'Brien being one of his best friends on the team but I hope he's not one of the people already talking about their vacation.

Good point. Unless Varly needs a break from hockey for a while, he'll probably be there for Russia. Could see O'Reilly getting the call as well.
