The Rangers are a far more desperate hockey club at the moment, and will probably play like it.

I'll be content with 2 points against the Rags this week.

From the Rags board

P.S. Also staying at Kadri's place in Toronto tonight, he's been my buddy for a long time now ever since high school. I stayed with him once last year as well, let me tell you the kid is dialed in right now and no "shenanigans" are anywhere to be found this season. The "Phenaz" can play, as well all know.
I know we aren't suppose to do it, but this is GREAT news for us Leaf fans. I was also surprised with the lack of **** talk and respect from their fans. This is what it feels like to cheer for a hockey team.

Those losses also increase the chance we also dont make it in. I dont care who gets in or who gets pushed out. Regardless what team we face, first round will be a challenge. Getting in needs to be priority. The sooner we clinch the sooner carlyle can start playing around with lines to plan the playoffs.

since NJ lost in shoot out
our magic number is now at 12.
at the very least, we need 3 more wins, while NJ needs to lose 3 in regulation

today would be a great start

Hopefully we're up to the task, Rangers are always a tough go.

Let's get 4 pts.

I agree, once we have clinched, than we can start juggling lines around, and see what we can do in playoffs
colborne and gardiner can get chances, but right now, stick with lineup

Plus once we clinch we can make sure we end up in whatever place we need to be for thebest odds of winning first round. Hahaha

im not worried about the first round im worried about how flat the leafs will be coming into the second round with 7 days rest from sweeping the bruins seriously 2 losses in a row to the rangers and the pressure will start to mount..just get me in the playoffs already then will talk

Very interesting, great to hear. And Rags fans in general are nicer than others. Much better than their a-hole Philly and Islanders counterparts.

Also people remember you can call them Rags, although it's best you call them rangers as we have no big enmity with them. However in the main boards, if you do stroll there, it is NOT ALLOWED.

Pretty sure their own fans call them the Rags, I don't think the Rags was ever an insult. It's not the same as "Laffs", "Crabs", "Senaturds", etc.

I thought Rags was just the short form.. honestly

We need 2 points tonight. Splitting these 2 games would be fine by me, but 2 wins would go a long way.

In the main board it's counted as flaming as some people get pissed off. So it's against the rules.

I've always called them rags in good will because I'm tired off writing rangers tbh lol.

Hey guys,

Rangers fan coming in peace. I am sincerely happy to see the Maple Leafs doing well for a change. They just have to be part of the play-offs. It's where they belong. You guys have been unlucky in recent years but things are looking up!

I hope for a competitive bundle of games between the Rangers and Maple Leafs and hopefully we can both make the play-offs. You guys have some nice players on your roster who can help you for years to come!

Good luck!

Prepare to endure the crushing apathy that is Taylor Pyatt.

It was nice knowing you all.

2/4 points minimum needed here. winning tonight would certainly limit my anxiety over the new couple of days.

The Rangers catch us if we lose these games; that would be a huge risk. No doubt we are in "must win" territory.

It pisses me off when I hear the term "Rags"; it's akin to "Laffs".

Let's not turn into THOSE people who belittle another franchise based on their popularity and it being a trend.

Treat others with respect; until they prove they don't deserve it. Remember that you are judged by the same criteria.

Also the notion that we should lose to avoid the Bruins in the playoffs is ridiculous.

Caps are catching fire right on time. We've played the Bruins very well all season and we're a lot closer to losing out on a playoff spot than people think.

We can't simply lose 2 or 3 in a row and be fine.

Not to mention what a great story it would be if we did manage to overcome the B's in the first round.
