That was an excellent glove save. Even the best NHLers don't convert on more than 50-60% of breakaways. I think it's more about not missing the net completely or flubbing the pass in situations like this which he used to do quite a bit.

But he has to find a way to convert those chances - he needs to be a upper level as a finisher if he is to step up to the next level.

I just feel like it's important for him to create a good chance out of it, if the goalie makes a save here and there then that's OK. To me the big issue with him was that he wouldn't even make the goalie make a save in the past.

2nd line doing everything but scoring. At least 2 or 3 scoring chances just now.

Nice shift for Jensen and the 3rd line.

I'm listening on the radio, sounds like Schroeder and Archibald are playing well, and Jensen just had a great shift, seems to be anchoring his line. I don't know why Arniel doesn't put Jensen on Schroeder's line?

Ouch, Sweatt got boarded by an Ice Hog retrieving the puck from his own zone. Really bad but looks like Sweatt is ok.

Archibald - Schroeder - Davies are flying though. They're the only line doing well so don't know if he wants to risk splitting them up. The only thing is that it might be worth it to move Jensen up to the 1st line.

Good PP but can't score. They need to bear down on their chances a bit as they're generating a lot of really good ones. Also, Vandermeer is not very good — don't know why he gets PP time with the Schroeder unit.

Jensen getting PP time on the first unit at all? Second unit at least?

I guess don't touch what ain't broke. But it would be nice to see an all prospect line of Archibald, Schroeder, and Jensen.

Vandermeer is playing awful. No coverage, poor puck handling and very slow. He is absolutely no option for the Canucks

Price had a little trouble with the speed. Got blown around on one rush. Just trying to feel his way.

Cannata played very well. Had no chance on the shot - guy wide open 10 feet in front of the net.

Haydar is playing poorly. Had a good run but back to throwing idle high risk cross ice passes. Defensively is AWOL.

Jensen looks dangerous and does have good reach and speed but getting little ice time with all the special team play. I would bench yank Haydar off his line and put Jensen there.

On Schroeder. He had two good chances to score. On the first he was wide open down the middle of the ice - free and clear. He had options. He tired to hit the top corner and the goalie made a good glove save. But if he makes any kind of fake, even a shoulder shrug, he gets the goalie maybe to move and creates space for a better shot. On the second he had an open tip, 10 feet out in the slot with the goalie out of position. He tipped it wide.

My point is that if Schroeder he has to be the kind of player that you can't give chances to. He has to be a scorer. He can't just be a quick little player that lays decent 5 on 5 hockey. He just has not demonstrated enough scoring skill. Maybe he will down the road but he hasn't yet. right now if you wanted the a person on the Wolves to be open for a shot or breakaway you would want Davies - a guy who will never be in the NHL.

Joslin is the best player on this team - no question he is the first callup.

I was about to say, it shouldnt' take all that long to get a highly touted skilled first rounder on the PP in the AHL. :/

Sounds like he could help our shizzy PP. If we could just add one or two more players to get me as excited as I am about Jensen...
