Technically one game isn't enough to prove anyone right or wrong.

Just like his 3 first ones aren't. Once he gets 20 or so games in you have a much better idea of how he is going to perform nightly.

And you clearly haven`t envisioned the situation from our standpoint, adult (is that is how we should call you?)
No, i don`t want any harm to happen, as well as most of (if not almost all) us here. But in every situation there will be fans who cross the line a little with their expectations, in every fan base, in every sport. For you to come here and teach us, is just stupid.

I'm still shocked he's a fourth round pick. I mean anything past the 3rd round is a fricken crap shoot

I wish the crowd could chant 'Tamperiiiiiing' every time Schultz touched the puck.

Potential to be better in the future. I've been hearing that for years from you guys, and you're still horrible

On a side note, Getz is a game time decision, as tweeted by Stephens. He also said Vatanen was called up because we have 2 banged up defenseman. BB wouldn't say who, though.

If it had been about money I'd agree with you.

The whole advising bit is an incredibly weak argument. He is a young man who can make discernible distinctions on what is right and what is shady. He made a very weak character decision. Maybe he isn't all that bright, and if that's the case then so be it.

Why wouldn't it be? The money a player gets is more than his contract, well, for a player in a hockey market it is. Ad money.

Yupp! No word on anything. Basically screwed us out of a draft pick. Most likely didn't tell management he has no intentions of playing here. Hopefully he's enjoying his horrible Oiler team.

Am i the only one here who kind of hopes Getzy better sit tonight, just so we don`t rush him that much? He`ll know that better himself, but yesterday he was still walking in that boot. He was smiling and looked ok, though.

As a Ducks fan and a guy who hates Schultz, the Oilers do have a bright future with Schultz being a big part of that. A rebuild takes more than few years. I don`t think we should act like Oilers will be horrible forever.

Ad money? Is he the focus of an ad campaign that will pay him a significant amount of money that I'm not aware of now?

If I remember correctly I think Beauch took a shot off the foot yesterday that had him in some pain. Hopefully it isn't him though.

I know it's not the exact same, but asking Edmonton how it's like to be spurned by a player as if we don't know is kind of silly.

Comrie
Pronger
Nylander
Heatley
Riley Nash

All said no and the first 4 broke contracts or their words. Nash almost did what Schulz did, we did regain a 2nd however.

We were poached of almlost every good player from 1992 to roughly 2005 because of $$$.

Hell we had Gretzky sold to cover gambling debts.

I know not the same, but I don't think anyone had the same heart ache in terms of losing players for nothing or pennies on the dollar than Edmonton.

That being said, best of luck the rest of the season to the Ducks.

Where is he likely to get that kind of deal: California or Alberta?

If that were the case why wouldn't every big FA sign in Toronto? I think you're grasping at straws here.

you guys didnt exactly like pronger after that either... idk why anyone would be shocked about ducks fans not liking schultz or crying about schultz.
