Yet again, you're missing the point.

It is Schultz blatant lack of class, integrity and maturity as well as leading on a franchise up until about a week before deciding to leave. Not returning phone calls, etc, was immature and not professional. Not allowing us to recover assets sucks, but it happens.

Duck fans are pissed at him for his lack of tact in the situation - not losing him. It's the WAY he left.

Don't let a few people wishing harm on him form your opinion on all Ducks fans - I haven't thrown you in with some of the other fans putting down the Ducks fanbase, etc.

And I didn't throw you in either.

How do you know the details of Schultz's situation?

Alright - I'm out. Good luck in this one.

Time to drink away my sorrows over still having Allen on this team. Christ.

Too lazy. Google, look through this thread. Plenty of comments from our general manager and I think the tone of Getzlaf's comments are telling as well.

Take it easy man.

It's a fair point. But we don't sit there and try to say that Allen has good games every night.

Schultz has had better nights than this. But any Edmonton fan saying he had a good game tonight needs to take the glasses off.

Perhaps I'm simply not involved enough...... but why the heck is this such a delicate issue for both sides?

Ducks fans, your team is lighting it up this year, and if the Hawks weren't playing crazy out of their minds would be the story of the West. Your defense core looks set and you have some very strong young guys looking good and just locked up a recent league MVP and your captain to long term contracts.

Why the heck do you even care about Schultz? Yeah, he acted like a dillhole (using the "nice" term). He's a young guy, wouldn't be the first one to act like that. There's something to be said for the fact he has essentially kept to himself and not thrown more fuel into the fire as well.

And to the Oilers fans, you landed a guy who appears to be a solid d prospect on a team lacking just that. It seems to me like you're still sore about Pronger, which was as much your organization's fault for not getting a good enough return. And don't even say it was because Pronger went public, you really think GMs are going to buy that a cup contending team is just going to trade off their stud d man because they don't like him anymore? They got dealt a crappy hand half a decade ago, get over it.

Pretty sure Anaheim fans would have more first hand knowledge about this saga than most. Up until a year ago no one gave a **** about him except for Ducks fans.

Schultz was bad, hopefully he'll show the Ducks what he's really about when Anaheim visits Edmonton in the back-to-back coming up. I do think he was rattled tonight, wasn't himself.

This argument has been rehashed a billion times already.

It's just spiraled into fan base bashing and speculation at this point.
