The lottery is back in the news again with Powerball now at $600 Million. California recently got Powerball and that state has contributed in a big way to making this jackpot grow very fast in a very short amount of time. If no one hits this on Saturday, expect it to go over $1 billion for sure.

Hate the lottery. Half the money disappears into the black hole of government, and your payout options are prorated 20 years or half the payoff. A casino that paid like that would go out of business. A mutual fund or savings account that raked 50 percent and offered returns to 0.00000001% would collapse. Tax on the stupid.

Heh, to tie the last few days of this thread together, last night after our game, my beer league team - Dirty Old Men (hence the name) - were sitting around talking about the lottery and what we'd do if we won; and one of things agreed on was: buy Polar Ice Chandler and fix it up right 10 of us bought 25 tickets total.

It later occurred to me that I'd have a better chance of getting rich by writing a fictional account of a beer league team that wins the Powerball than actually being a member of a beer league team that wins the Powerball.

Tornados are a real mf'er. I've been in / seen two, and thankfully I don't think anyone died in either. Hurricanes are bigger, but the force tends to be spread out, and we see them coming days in advance. You can build to be resistant to earthquakes. Tornados come out of nowhere, and apart from reinforced concrete, there's nothing you can do to stand up to an F-4 tornado.

Tornados are one of the many reasons why I could never live in places like OK. A real shame too since people I have met from that part of the country are really among the nicest I have even met.

Proposed bill could give Canadian snowbirds up to 8 months a year in U.S.

Quote:
OTTAWA -- Canadian snowbirds may soon be able to spend an extra two months nesting in their favourite sunshine state each year.

U.S. legislation winding its way through Congress would allow Canadians aged 55 and older to spend up to 240 days -- about eight months -- in the country without a visa, 58 days longer than the current 182-day annual limit.

Obviously this could only help attendance in the early months but since a lot move to the east valley, this would hurt my commute time.

Phoenix and Buckeye are among the fastest growing cities in the United States. Looking at other articles online, most of the fastest growing cities are in Texas. Salt Lake City, San Jose, and Irvine CA are also among the fastest growing as well.

A mistrial has been reached in the Jodi Arias penalty phase. A new jury has to come in now decide on her fate or the judge will make a decision without the death penalty as an option.

I am so sick of Jodi arias and her mousy "look at me, I'm so cute and innocent and not at all a murdering, conniving person!" face. I really wish she would just go away, stay away, and never come back to dirty the pixels on any of my devices!

Amen sister! We just feed into her disgusting lifestyle by even talking about her. Out of sight, out of mind!

Am I really the only one who thinks Jodi Arias is a babe? Not anywhere close to Casey Anthony, but damn good looking. I didn't know anything about this trial until verdict day, but Jodi ... call me. To the rest of you ... sorry, because guys like me are the problem.

For some reason I have this recurring image of an old Far Side cartoon with a spider reading the newspaper personals. All of the listing were pretty much "Attractive Black Widow seeks mate for fun and romance."

Enough people are watching that ABC thought it was okay to interview someone who has been convicted of a brutal murder in the 1st degree. Gave her makeup, and let her say all the condescending crap she wanted to say. She still refuses to apologize to the family or in general. Total psychopathy. I don't know who grants permission to do such interviews but they absolutely should be fired.

You act like you've never seen any hot chicks before, you live in an Amish compound or something? You're obviously a challenged person so let me help you out...

1) Google "hot chick"
2) Click on Images at the top of the screen

There...that's it, now go enjoy yourself and stop being so prude.

Ha ha ha!!! That's awesome. She might be a babe, and I use the term lightly, if you had beer googles or something. To each their own I guess.
