Carolina is horrible. Anything less than a reg. win is absolutely unacceptable and they better play like it. Fortunately the rest of the div has sucked so they really can't screw up winning it like when they dropped the home and home with the Islanders last year.

Sucks that Letang isn't playing, but I love the decision to keep Despres in the press box, can't have that kind of skill on the ice, especially with how our transition game was been looking.

Yeah, Despres has been shaky but not any worse than anyone else. Imagine how fun the playoffs are gonna be with Orpik allowing someone to go 1 on 0 with Fleury every 5 minutes.

Something like that.

Anyway, is it Alzheimers on my part or have we won every game we have played against opponents on the second leg of a back to back this season?

That being said, I would not be surprised to see the Pens struggle to get anything going offensively, while leaving MAF out to dry again.

I think the only one we lost was against Jersey on that craptastic Sunday night game.

No, Eaton's really the only sensible choice to pair with him right now. He needs a responsible, conservative player to cover for him. Martin has been the only partner he has had some success with this season, and Eaton is the closest match to Martin (in the defensive zone).

I agree it won't be a blowout but if the Bruins can put 6 past them..

'Canes actually played better than the score showed. Peters was just awful.

Not to beat a dead horse, but it's gotten to the point where simply seeing Glass' # in projected lineups gives me convulsions. It's like Kramer when he'd hear Mary Hart's voice.

Honestly can't remember the last time a Penguins player irked me so badly. I feel horrible for Vitale.

Glass kills penalties - that alone will keep him in the line up.

Now when all the forwards get healthy, it'll be interesting to see what DB does. He's going to have to scratch somebody he doesn't want to. Likely one of Glass, Adams, or Kennedy. Since Glass and Adams kill penalties, Kennedy could be the odd man out even if it pains Bylsma.

This.

What the hell is DB think by scratching Des when he's the best PMD we have?

How many penalty killers do you actually need tho. Sutter, Dupuis, Cooke, Adams are all very good PKers. Then throw in Crosby and Kunitz who should be thrown out there as well. Still don't see why Malkin doesn't get any PK time but that can be saved for another discussion another day

I suppose you can't have too many good PKers. Plus this is Bylsma mentality we're talking about, so Crosby will only see the PK for faceoffs. Would love to see Malkin on it as you suggested, he actually was on the PK in 2009 right before Staal's series-changing shorty against Detroit. Damn near got a scoring opportunity himself if I recall correctly.

I really don't understand what Despres has to do to stay in the lineup, it's unreal

I know I shouldn't but I have a bad feeling about this one. Hope i'm wrong

Let's go boys clinch the Division!

It's not even about that right now.

The fact is, we at WORSE have 2nd in the conference locked up, thanks to the way the divisional standings work. We're not fighting our way out of a 4 vs. 5 matchup. The 7th and 8th seeds are going to be interchangeable every day until the last day of the season, so who really gives a **** about first on the conference.

In other words, NOW is the time to really test a couple of the young guys, because you have LITERALLY NOTHING TO LOSE.

If I'm going to blow my stack when it comes to DB, it's about this stuff.

You sir are on fire today but wheres your avi ?

Glass in, BB on the same line as him...ohhh DJ Danny Balls, you're a strange one. I'm hoping Orpik can start shaping his game up as Martins return nears (weeks off yes but still) and the playoffs loom.\

Fantastic GDT!

Man it really must be complete and utter hell for every other team in the league killing penalties without Tanner Glass in their lineups.

I don't always like how DB handles lines and younger players, But in his defense if you look at other teams message boards you often see there fans complaining about the same types of things with lines and younger players playing time.

In the OP-

Glass looks like Sir Bedivere from Holy Grail

Bennett looks like he's 12 years old- should be called squire

Skinner looks like Joan of Arc

Nice art work, even though it took 1 minute to load. That's like 8 hours internet time.

Yea DB isn't the first coach to put vets over rookies, notable example would be Mike Babcock ->http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/sh....php?t=1381455

Chip Alexander, the 'Canes Beat writer, just tweeted that Justin Faulk rejoins the 'Canes lineup tonight.
Quote:
Chip Alexander ‏@ice_chip 58m

Justin Faulk back in the lineup tonight. Safe to say the Canes need him and have missed him.
Semin is also a maybe per Muller.

If updated lines/pairings come out before I leave for the Arena I'll update the 'Canes GDT accordingly (for anyone whose read it or cares about the 'Canes lineup for tonight).

Props to your GDT maker here - amazing job!

Julien who's considered a good coach put Jagr on the 4th line recently, Can you imagine this boards reaction if DB put Iginla with Glass and Adams.
