Can you imagine Tortellini's press conference if that happened?

As much as I can't stand the Sens (mostly because of their upper management) I'd absolutely love for them to bounce the Rags out of a playoff spot. Seeing the Rags, who were boasting and bragging about how much of a "contender" they were before the season started, end up MISSING the playoffs would be an absolute delight! Easily the biggest "pretenders" this season!

On another note, kinda sucks to see that we ended up losing both the President's Trophy and (potentially) Sid's Art Ross all in the same night...

Wouldn't be surprised if they were to can him. Meanwhile how in the world Sather still gets to keep his job is beyond me.

He keeps finding other fishes that pick up his mistakes

The Gomez deal probably saved his job for 3-4 more years. Watch him find a trading partner and be able to move Richards

Might just be me but.....

The Staal family thing really rubs me the wrong way. I'm very glad we don't have Jordan Staal on the team anymore. Eric Staal has been on my **** list since his rookie year, first game at Civic Arena and he slew footed Mario and then laughed at him and slashed his ankles. Little punk.

I just feel that there is a whole "Lindros" dad thing with the Staals and something doesn't feel right about them.

Glad we got a good return and glad we don't have Staal anymore.

Wasn't the Gomez deal Sather's fault to begin with? Only seems reasonable that if you $h!t the bed you be the one to clean it up...

true, but getting McDonagh is one hell of a clean up job.

Tonight's games have such a huge impact on the playoff picture. For one thing, tonight will determine whether or not Winnipeg still has a shot at making the playoffs or not.

It's almost improbable, but it would be awesome if Winnipeg wins tonight, Sens get a point over their final three games, and the Rangers lose their remaining games in regulation.

All teams can be decided and only 1 seed lock can be tonight, Toronto.

Not really. A lot of teams are done after tomorrow night, so the Jets are only 1 day ahead of a bulk of teams. It would be odd if Winnipeg had played their last game last weekend or something.

It will suck for them and their fans, though, if they win tonight and Ottawa/Rangers lose tonight, then have to wait 2 or 3 days to see whether or not they made the playoffs.

Busy night. Hope the Jets win and Senators and Rangers lose.

If Jets do miss out then I'd rather face the Senators than the Rangers.

Carolina scored two quick goals to tie the game. Jets up 1-0 early.

Man, it just might happen. I can't stand Tortorella, Nash, Lundqvist in particular and Dubinsky when he was there. Would love to see them go from one of the preseason cup favorites to not making the playoffs. Also want to see Columbus pull through after Nash bailed on them only to miss the playoffs with the Rags. My dislike for the Rags is on par with the Flyers.

Ovechkin a goal, 2 points behind Sid now, basically locking up the Rocket. Such a terrible play defensively by Ottawa too.

Honestly Toronto and the Islanders scare me most. Barring a miracle I think the Leafs will curb stomp Montreal.

We could get any of Senators, Rangers, Islanders... all three would present different problems but a good challenge.

Jackets are gonna knock off Dallas tonight (Letestu with the GWG), so we move to Friday and Saturday to see what happens in the west. Looks like it'll really come down to the wire.
