So after this game, we're still 1 point in last, with one more game played than CGY. 8 games left... I don't see us going on a tear at this point. we have to win a few though, i mean, we can't go 0-15 or something

Yes. They've had way more jump than they usually do, and are way sharper with the puck. On both their decision making, and quickness and accuracy of their passes.

Anaheim is not playing that well, but the Avs have played very well since the drop of the puck.

The Avs would really have to play well to lose out on a top 3 pick. Carolina is 3/5 points ahead and Tampa is 5/7 points ahead. That is a lot to make up in 9 games.

He is playing with fire. I mean why wouldn't Giguere make that comment earlier in the season, like about 20 games ago or so?

I wouldn't be surprised if Avs indeed win enough games now to miss out on top 2 and maybe even top 3 picks.

Kind of moronic by Giguere if you ask me.

McLeod is just not a good hockey player. Please put Malone with Lando and O'Reilly.

He's not a good player, but I'd be terrified to piss him off.

Elliott has looked good again for the second straight game. Even saw him throw a hit. Hope to see more of this from him.

Vancouver outshot 41-29. Win 4-1. Typical Vancouver game.

Ya, he was poor early on but really caught his stride as the game went on.

I don't get your hate. It's game number 39. in a regular season, we aren't even half way. plus 20 games ago we we're at 500 hockey

Second, you can't expect legit hockey players to just roll over and die. I have a lot of respect for the guy for making his comments. About time someone told the media how it is.

He looks really awkward with the puck, like he has brittle bone disease and can't skate normally.

Zanon has had a really solid game.

When it happens too much like it does to Canucks, it is a matter of time before they will stop scoring those heartbreaker goals. Just like last year against the Kings, I would be very surprised if Canucks make the Finals again.

Avs defenders shooting wide is starting to be comical. Every time.

I find he reminds me of Barrie at the begining of the season. Then after 5-10 games, he gained strides. Maybe Elliot will do the same

As of now this team has a chance to finally pick that #1 over all which will go along way helping this team in the future.

Giguere could of made that comment in the off season, and say something to start the next season to get the team into a good start.

His comments now might actually hurt the team, but we'll see. This team missed out on #1 overall picks the last few years.

Duchene is a good player, but if Avs drafted Tavares the team would of been better.

I don't want the 3rd overall pick again. This team really needs that #1 overall

all I can say is "LOL"

No, Not only is Duchene very comparable to Tavares in stats. Duchene has loved the Avs since he was a child. He has had a passion for the team unlike Tavares. You are not a fortune teller.

If the Avs get the 3rd overall pick, you should be real happy. Whoever is left over looks to be a hell of a player.
