I am so worried about the Caps that it's giving me anxiety attacks. A beer should solve that problem.
On an unrelated note - 5 Guys is open in Westwood! Yay! We'll go give it a try sometime next week (maybe game night on Tuesday) to see if it lives up to the American franchises. The 5 Guys on south Pembina doesn't live up to American franchises, IMO.
For large chain-style burger places, nothing lives up to In 'n Out or Carls Jr. IMHO - but one has to travel far afield to sample their wares. 5 Guys is good, though, don't get me wrong, but it's not up to the standards of Carls or In 'n Out.
When we travel to the US, I always look forward to visiting restaurants we see on "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives", and have not been disappointed as of yet. I highly recommend the "Blue Door" in St. Paul MN, for the "Juicy Blucy" burgers, and local beers on tap. Four pints, and two meals, with a generous tip, and it was all of $25 for the two of us. Blue Moon on tap is one of the best beers I've ever had. Hit up a Wild game, and then go for a Juicy Blucy - it's an awesome evening. I think we're heading down to Minneapolis for the May long weekend - I haven't checked the schedule yet, but I'm hoping to catch a few Twins games, and we'll check out some other local grub spots.
