not really. it's been average recently. BOOOOOOOO! f'ing plebs. one non-native in the front office of one of the other sports teams recently told me how weird we were in comparison to the other markets he's worked in, so i polled a couple more non-natives in the industry and some natives who had done time in other markets. Yep...we're strange fans. we go out of our way more to find stuff to complain about even when things are going alright. This is based on places like this, fan mail, call-ins, comment sections, etc.

As someone who has lived in DC the past five years, be glad you're not here. Good lord do the home fans boo for the dumbest things.

I still can't stand Lapanta. Never will. Cant stand the voice especially his goal call. Maybe if FSN actually tried to look for a decent PBP guy I would be ok with it, but all they did was bust open the break room door and said "who wants to be the new Wild PBP guy?"

It's true, but it's easy to understand why...Due to their history of continually being let down by their favorite home town teams, Minnesota fans carry an eternal pessimistic outlook and are always waiting for the other shoe to drop and be let down again. So, by booing the PP, they feel as though they are letting the team know that they do not appreciate being let down any more.

Problem is, that booing doesn't help the team, it's a purely therapeutic coping mechanism.

If we can be strong down low in our own end and not let them start cycling and break out with efficiency. We will win.
