Should We Fight to the Bitter End or tank

this is the first time in years that we have a shot at the playoffs. Should we fight to the last game to start installing a winning culture or tank again for the best draft.

I say fight. I'm tired of losing.

Dont want to tank again... ever. I would forfeit our first round pick for the playoffs and meaningful hockey.

I agree with fighting instead of tanking.

Don't think we have a chance at the playoffs at all. 7-2-0 gives the team 53 points, which still might not be enough.

Still better to fight then to fold up the tent.

They should be fighting obviously. But the fact is, when you look at their remaining schedule, there's a good chance they could lose quite a few games. So I think it will work both ways.

We are still missing too many pieces and Tamblowe can't win a trade. The only choice this team has is to tank.

Fight, they've done enough tanking. The loser mentality needs to stop!

Have you seen the team lately?

They'll tank while "trying" to fight.

If vote tank they you accept the loser mentality. Might as well keep Smitty, Horc, Khabby, and Belanger around for a few more years too!

I vote tank, although it will probably happen on it's own.Calling it loser mentality is a little harsh as finishing the rebuild through the draft(and this should be the last high draft required)is the way to go.

There's absolutely no sense in tanking to get into a position for Jones, MacKinnon or Drouin. Tambellini doesn't need the luxury of selling another shiny wunderkid (and jerseys) to the masses. He needs to do his ******* job this summer.

Tank? As in the team should intentionally stop trying to win?

No language in the world is capable of expressing how truly stupid that idea is.

THIS X 10000000000

I am glad most people on this board are sick as hell of the losing. There will be someone good available regardless of where we finish. Not every good player is a top 5 pick.

Anyone want to prove to me that we ever tanked without posting a troll face of Tambellini? Kind of a ridiculous thread. Of course we're going to fight for the playoffs.

The entire team looked and sounded completely defeated after their loss to the Ducks. Horcoff in particular sounded like somebody ran over his dog and I haven't seen that kind of demeanor from him since we lost in the finals. They haven't been eliminated from playoff contention yet but they've already given up.

I want them to fight for their lives but the playoffs are just a dream at this point. Even if we make it, we'll just get crushed by the Black Hawks in the first round. I'm not sure that's a more palatable option.

I've become a really big Oil Kings fan again. If both games are on, I'm watching the juniors, plus I'm going to all the home playoff games.

Oilers? Fight, but it doesn't matter. Next year we'll be in the playoffs; I know it.

Wait, you're seriously saying the Oilers have "given up" on the season?

WTF???

This team doesn't need to tank. It will fail all on its own. I'll be a happy man when I see Sean Monahan in an Oilers Jersey in June/July.

Fight till the very end. Finish 17th overall and then win the lottery, draft Jones and win the cup next year
