Jean-Gabriel Pageau, NHL Debut tonight!

Alright, so the Sens are debuting another rookie tonight, in Jean-Gagriel Pageau. He will wear #44.

Looking at getting some objective feedback on him. As this seems like a surprise recall. Especially given his size.

Anyways, interested to hear some perspective here on the guy.

Also congrats J-G Pageau for earning his 1st big league callup!

On the ice with less than a minute to go, defending a 1 goal lead. Gets his first assist on the empty netter too.

Kid is unbelievable!

he had a solid game.

winning faceoffs and playing well defensively - it's pretty clear now why they called him up instead of stephane da costa.

Its really nice to see guys work hard and make it up a few games. I can't imagine that feeling to get your first few games and get a goal. Especially assuming guys like Pageau probably hear that they have no chance a few times in their life.

It's only been two games, but he's better than Da Costa ever was IMO. Both are small guys with Skills, nut he has more "drive" IMO and I think you need that when you're on the smaller side of the fence.

This guy has certainly impressed his 1st two games. He's a little hellion out there. He is what 170 lbs? Yet plays as if he is 220. He wins faceoffs, puck battles, makes plays, kills penalties and is out there defending leads late in games?

What a great job the sens management has done developing some really great players in the farm system. Just shows our forward depth is absolutely ridiculous.

Da Costa showed a lot of talent when he was up here though. The production wasn't there but he was our best forward offensively in a number of games.

Still think he has more potential going forward, but Pageau has played well no doubt.

the problem with dacosta is he is a defensive liability and he can be a little too cute with the puck.
Pageau plays pk and very responsible defensively and drives the net more.
Way to go pagoo
