The Kings lost, the Sharks are losing, this could turn into a pretty important game.

I have this feeling Cundari is going to score on us.

4th place and home ice is there for the taking. But the Blues have to take care of Calgary first before even worrying about that.

Blues play both games before SJ @ LA on Saturday night. Scenarios:

Blues get 0 points, play Vancouver.
Blues get 1 point, San Jose better get at least 1 point so we play Vancouver, else we play LA.
Blues get 2 points, San Jose just has to win, else we play LA.
Blues get 3 points, San Jose better win, else we play LA.
Blues get 4 points, Blues host winner, better be San Jose else we play LA.

Let's face it. Unless the Blues lose both games in regulation, they're pretty much playing LA when LA wins that game at home.

There's still a tiny chance of playing Anaheim if the Blues lose both games in regulation and Minnesota wins out.

True, the Blues can even get a point in this scenario unless San Jose loses in regulation and then it's LA-Minnesota in round 1!!

Still take 4th with 3 points and a SJ win.

Love this time of year. Watching all the games extra closely, wondering who's going to make it in and who isn't. I'm just happy that we clinched. Home ice advantage would be awesome. If we do get LA, then here's to the Blues saving their revenge for the post-season.

Odds & Ends:

Bouwmeester will face his former team for the first time since the deal as St. Louis seeks a season-best, five-game home winning streak Thursday night.

St. Louis (27-17-2) has won nine of 12 with Bouwmeester in the lineup and guaranteed the veteran his first postseason experience with a 3-1 win over Colorado on Tuesday.
Kiprusoff has a career-worst 3.44 goals-against average this season, but he made 36 saves and Cervenka scored twice as the Flames beat St. Louis 3-2 in the last meeting March 24 to end a three-game skid in the series.

This is the third and final meeting this season between these teams and the first contest to take place in St. Louis. The Blues and Flames split the previous two meetings, with Calgary winning 3-2 on March 24 and St. Louis earning a 5-2 victory on Feb. 15.

St. Louis has held opponents to one goal in four consecutive home games - all victories. Brian Elliott started each of those contests after going 1-4-1 with a 4.31 GAA in his first six home outings.

Elliott is 7-2-0 with a 1.14 GAA in his last nine starts overall and has a 1.83 GAA in five career starts versus the Flames.

Kiprusoff is 7-3-1 with a 1.36 GAA in his last 11 versus St. Louis, which may be without defenseman Barret Jackman after he was injured blocking a shot Tuesday.
Cervenka has three goals in his past two games for Calgary while Sven Baertschi has eight points in his current six-game point streak.

Cundari, who made his NHL debut Sunday against the Minnesota Wild, has three points in his first two NHL games.

Stewart has two goals and three points in his past three games.

Injury Report:
Blues: Jamie Langenbrunner (Torn Labrum), T.J. Oshie (Ankle), Jaroslav Halak (Groin)
Flames: Paul Byron (Hand), Alex Tanguay (Knee), Steve Begin (Hand), Curtis Glencross (Knee), Cory Sarich (Nose), Derek Smith (Lower Body), Dennis Wideman (Finger)

Try someone on the PP who can actually handle the puck.

Anybody see the QMJHL brawl video? The league hilariously just suspended both goalies on each team for this.

@sunayas The #QMJHL has suspended all four goalies for their part in the brawl between BBA & the Drakkar. Holy smokes.

I would consider letting Perron stand in front of the net at this point...not sure if putting him on the half-wall is his best position.

It should be understand, but not so sure that it is...

What's funny is that when our PP was absolutely dominant, it was b/c it ran through Perron on the half boards, with him being confident and shooting, usually off the far pad with Oshie crashing in from the point to cash in a rebound. I think we scored at least 3-4 goals this way early on. Then either teams adjusted, we changed personnel, or Perron stopped doing what he was doing and became ineffective. Either way, when Perron was doing his thing on the half boards early on, we were grooving on the PP.

Interesting that the Flames plugged Cundari right in and he has averaged almost 22 minutes a game in his first 2 games. Looks like he is getting some time on the PP too.
