Perry got a couple of good shots in but in general not alot of punches landed. I would still give the edge to Perry even though Richards took him down.

Overall I'll give the edge to Richards, but hardly a matchup of big bruisers.

The first punch that Richards fell on was a balance issue, they both threw and grabbed on at the same time. As well, the shot that Perry wen't down on was a glancing blow, wasn't much force behind it. Probably give it a draw in a pretty spirited go. Nice to see Perry go buckets off and put in a better effort than the beating he took from Richards earlier this year.

The few seconds leading up to the fight were pretty intense, but then they just started swinging without much aim. I give it three out of five.

Perry definetly got Richards with the first punch, didn't fully connect but enough force behind it to send Richards off-balance.

I'd give edge to Perry, he connected with 2-3 punches while Richards got max 1 in.

Great to see such emotions though, this is what NHL misses so sorely.

Who needs the overpaid crybabies in the NHL when we have great OHL action and the mem cup coming in a month. Normally I would miss the NHL but not w/ the year the knights are having and this series is shaping up to be a classic. The fight last night was one of the greatest moments i've witnessed. The place went nuts !!!!! Good to see Perry didn't get his butt kicked, i was nervous for a minute.

That would suck -- if you really need a hockey fix, you can watch some games on the web (the OHL games are webcast on a pay-per-view basis; Halifax Mooseheads home games are webcast - no cost; I'm sure there are others as well)

As an FYI, I know you were a little jilted by the knights selling tickets so far in advance that few opposition fans could get in. However, there was a small but loud pocket of Rangers fans at the game last night (40 or so). Dunno how they got the tickets but that was pretty interesting to see, as in the previous two series no one from Guelph or Windsor showed up in London ( for obvious reasons I'm sure ).

They took some verbal abuse near the end of the game but dished it out pretty good themselves

I think a spot is always reserved for the booster club. It is always in the visiters end, upper level at the top.

I could hear a small but vocal bunch on TV - I know the bus company was allotted a small number of tickets (I believe 50 was the figure I heard). I suspect you'll see a lot more than 50 London fans at the game on Saturday.

I'd give the edge in the fight to Richards. He landed the best shots.

The fight was alright. It looked like both players didnt know what they were doing though. I dont mind Perry most of the time, but when he tries to act tough, I cant stand the guy,,, even though I am a Knights fan.

I understood what he was doing out there; it was the end of the game and the Rangers were going after them, as one would understand ((*thought* why did Hunter have him out there anyways, I just thought of that**)). So the Knights come in to help their star out, and the one linesman takes a Ranger down, dont remember who. Perry THEN decides to drop the gloves to look all big and tough to go after the player who is already on the ice with a linesman on him. Richards is watching this and then sees Perry drops his gloves attaching all tough. It almost looked like Richards hollarded at him right before and it almost looked like Perry was pissing scared! I am suprised Perry went him!

What the hell were you guys watching?? Perry landed the best punch of the fight which sent Richards way off-balance, after that they both got 1 or 2 glancing blows in. Perry went down after he lost his balance trying to punch Richards.

Draw, edge Perry.

It was a draw, but that first punch wasn't much. The only reason Richards fell was because they both were off balance when Perry threw that. Look nice, but it wasn't much. In fact, there wasn't really any hard punches landed. Still a fun scrap, but it was a draw. No way edge Perry, but the fact that he didn't get his ass kicked like their last fight is an accomplishment in and of itself.

I give the nod to Richards, that was great, too stars going at it, reminds me of when Lecavelier and Iginla dropped the mitts in the cup finals.

That was classic hockey at its best. We'll see footage of that fight 15-20 years from now when there both retired and possibly hall of fame bound
