Great work by the french for hanging in there. Would love to see a monster upset today...but realistically, the Russians should run away with this by at least 6 goals... but crazy **** happens from time to time.

What's up with the referees? So many slashings and holdings from the Russian team not drawn..
Pathetic display of referees

I would change a goalie. Varly needs to lead the team.

There is still time to win, but the Russians can't take the 3rd period off like they did the first two. They won't be able to count on Koscheshkin for big saves, although the second goal wasn't his fault (Nikulin turned his back on the puck carrier and skated away from him in the crease). Even the two clean breakaways were lazy, I'm bored types of plays, and both Petrov and Mosyakin shot the puck before they had to and from bad angles. France did very little to deserve a 2-1 lead, but everything they did was rewarded. Failure to win here would force a must win over Finland to take the No. 1 seed.

He crashed into the boards last game. Not sure what the exact injury is, though.

I think France played very well, they played with high confidence. And if you play well, outwork your opponent, and create scoring chances, you deserve the lead.
