I think there is a possibility the first one was legal, but rest were for sure illegal...
Which is funny because people are on Twitter defending it as the only ones that were illegal were the last 2 because Gozanga was knocked out already... How does that make it better?
It looks to me like he was throwing side elbows into the left side of Gonzaga's head and then started coming from the top to hit the right side of his head. I think only one actually hit the back of the head while Gonzaga was moving his head.
Two of Browne's elbows were very clearly illegal. Question is was Gonzaga on his way out before that. Personally I'm fine with the decision as I think the damage was done, but I wouldn't be surprised at all to see it changed to a no contest.
I was thinking about it. He has ko power and his wrestling is pretty good. Not a huge longshot imo, but well done nonetheless.
I love that kid. Huge heart. He was one of the only fighters on that show that never quit in a fight. Everyone else pretty much did somewhere along the way. Some quit more than once (Im looking at you Bubba).
Overall what a great card. The non-finale TUF fights were solid (I particularly enjoyed Samman breaking Casey, who I hope is never back in the UFC). Collin and Luke was entertaining but sloppy, while Samman/Casey was more of a technical display. Bubba's fight was pretty good and he had a good finish. Browne's finish was borderline illegal but entertaining nonetheless. The girls put on an awesome scrap, and the TUF finale was fantastic. Faber and Jorgensen put on a good show too.
I have to say I'm disappointed by Jimmy Quinlan. I guess he really can't take a punch after all.
