Guess that means sobie is ok after hitting the post

Can't wait to see if Schwartz can be the kick in the pants Berglund and frank need

EDIT: JR saying the fourth line will actually be:

MPS - Lapierre - Cracknell

My guess is their giving Cracknell and Paajarvi a final shot. Presume Reaves and Porter are now safe.

Hitch said the choices for who's getting the fourth line roles, those decisions have been easier than he would have liked.
When asked if those players are making those choices difficult for him/coaches, Hitch: "No. I would have liked it to be more difficult."
Watching the video of the interview, he really seems disappointed:

I view it as Cracknell getting one last game before getting sent down, when Sobotka takes that spot on the line opposite MPS. Porter and Reaves scratched depending on match-ups and desire to be more or less physically imposing. MPS will get some healthy scratches as the early part of the year goes along. Anyway, that's my prediction. I do think he'll wind up on the 3rd line again in a few short weeks and play the majority of the season there. And frankly, one injury somewhere in the forward corps will shake things up again.

That 4th line has so many possibilities, so many ways you could go.

Did Hitch just say "******?" Don't you get fined for profanity?

I love it.

That said, his comments about the 4th line distress me a little bit. My guess is that whoever is sitting in the pressbox come October 3 may be there for quite awhile.

Guessing no tv or streaming? Looking forward to watching Tarasenko again...kid is all over the ice. From our end there is this weird contest atmosphere as it comes down to Granlund or Zucker making the team out of camp. Not sure if Yeo is making a big deal out of it just to motivate Zucker or what, but Zucker was the favorite to make it coming into camp and so far Yeo has been heaping praise on Granlund and making nothing but negative-toned comments about Zuckers game. They're on the same line so really interested to see how that plays out. I'll be trolling this thread looking for first hand impressions if anyone cares to comment after the game.

Sorry to disappoint you, but St. Louis radio isn't even covering this. We'll be listening to a Minnesota station and that's it unless somebody has a pirate jumbotron feed of the game.

Don't they have to film every game for the Shanahan & company to check anyways? Why not broadcast it somewhere?

Rights 'n' stuff. It seems like it should be trivial to stream it on the Blues NHL site, but it's always more complicated than it should be.

MPS with a penalty that lead to a PPG not looking good for him earning a spot.

He's been a turnover machine. Leopold fanned on a play that was seen a mile away...God awful.

Leopold should have never been retained. He was better than what was here when he was acquired. Then, the Jay-Bo trade happened and he wasn't really needed. Then the playoffs happened, and he wasn't really even adequate. That's 3 million dollars and possible learning time for a young guy for a sub-par defenseman.

Yes. He will be a whipping boy. Rightfully so.
