I think he'll be the starter by season's end imo

I agree, but I don't really think you're gonna see a heavy run game this year from the rams. Not only did they add 3 potentially 4 weapons in Cook, Austin, Baily and Long, but a year up on Givens sure helps, as well as an outstanding camp and preseason from Brian Quick. Quick has honestly emerged as the #1 WR. Besides that though, from what I've seen in camp and preseason, the team will pass more than rush.

Westbrook to the 15-day DL, Carlos Martínez called up.

I want Wacha to take Westbrook's spot in the rotation.

I think I heard its going to be Lyons and Martinez is taking that spot in the bullpen.

Tied with Pittsburgh, and Cincy 2½ back going into this 13 game run against both teams. Hopefully we can get at least 8 of these.

Lyons against Leake tonight. We typically hit Leake pretty well, so hopefully a good matchup.

The other good news is we typically play really well against Cincy. But this stretch of games probably determines where we finish.

Whatever, we will see won't we? And add another 2nd round pick from 2102, WR Quick to the conversation. In today's NFL, you don't draft "projects" they need to produce and right here right now it's not happening.

In the Red's home park we have, Leake has not started against the Cardinals at Busch until tonight, and Leake has been very good away from the confines of The Great American Ballpark this season. I hope the Redbirds contine to hit well against Leake tonight, crunch time 'boys.

Westbrook is useless as far as I am concerned even when he returns from the DL, and I disagree putting Wacha back in the starting rotation. Let's see how Lyons and Martinez do.

When your taken to be a backup to Steven Jackson you aren't expected to really do much your first year. Sure, he probably should have and was expected to beat out Richardson, but you really cannot blame Pead. Pead has played fine, Daryl has just played better. He will get a very long look at getting quality carries this season.

People need to stop judging draft picks after their first season.

When Snead drafted Quick he said "we are thinking Vincent Jackson". Jackson was also a 2nd round pick although Quick was 33rd overall and Jackson was 61st overall.

Jackson's Rookie Numbers:
3 Catches for 59 yards.

Quick's Rookie Numbers:
11 Catches for 159 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Both Big receivers from small schools that came into the league as raw athletes.

Obviously Jackson turned out to be a very good player.

Quick has only been playing football since his senior year of high school.

Overall it is extremely unfair consider a player a bust one year after they are drafted. Most players take much longer than 1 or two years to enter their prime.

Im not saying Quick (or pead) will be superstars. Im not saying that Quick will be equally as good as Jackson.

Im just saying that writing them off as bad draft pick that early is dumb.

Every NFL draft pick is some level of a "project" no one is drafted only for what they bring to the table that season alone. They are drafted on what they can do in their prime.

THIS

Unless you are taken in the top 5 you really are not expected to contribute for the most part except for starting.

Receivers usually take a few years to produce. Like thekidline said, Jackson is a comparable for Quick, and Jackson didn't breakout until his 4th season. It's that 3rd or 4th season that Quick should breakout.

As for Pead, well running backs usually don't have a long transition period, he needs to produce this season.

I agree that he needs to step up his game for sure this year. I'd be very disappointed with anything less than 500 yards this year.

If I'm Snead/Fisher my expectations for him would be:
700+ yards
By the end of the year top running back on the depth chart (Not necessarily a true #1 but at least be 1A)

based on who the backs on the roster are, barring an injury he's almost guaranteed 500 yards.

I agree, and I strongly doubt either Richardson and Stacy will establish themselves as a true #1 this year. Richardson will be a good weapon as a scat back. Stacy I think could end up being a true #1 but more likely his peak is as a productive 125-175 rushes a year kind of guy.

I honestly think that pead will be the top guy by thanksgiving.

Allen Craig's grand slam made him 7-for-10 with 2 sacrifice flies with the bases loaded this season
He's like the exact opposite of Tkachuk.

I think Lyons had a decent start, only 1 ER which doesn't hurt his ERA too much. Too bad Maness gave up that solo shot to Bruce.

How bout Allen Craig? The man is a machine with RISP. It's also no coincidence that the team started winning again when Yadi came back. But an even bigger help has been the fact that Holliday has been killing it this month.

Not just Holliday, Jay has been hot for the most part.

I just hope either Wong or Robinson get hot again, it's going to be important to have a bat off the bench down the stretch.

Matt Adams needs to pick it up too.
