From the Wild's perspective, they get a Minnesota native who's NHL ready and a bit more proven.

No thank you. We don't need a defenseman like Dumba. IF Jake is being moved, it's for a high potential forward.

Instead of the usual sarcastic answer ill play along..

So explain why these two teams want to swap D? I don't see why either team would make this deal. Can you elaborate?

I feel like you probably haven't seen a whole lot out of Dumba this season. I feel like he's Minnesota's prospect or bust. His hockey IQ is very questionable.

It would have to be for Granlund or Coyle.

Not saying straight up, or who would have to add. But that's the only basis of a trade that really makes sense for me with Minnesota.

The only intriguing thing about Dumba is that he shoots Right. But I don't think his potential is any higher than Gardiners, and considering he's younger and hasn't shown anything at the NHL level, it makes me think he's less likely to hit that potential.

Get lost with this garbage, Gardiner will not be traded for anything less than a #1 C (in a package). Stop throwing him into proposals because Carlyle is taking his time with him, ffs.

There are probably only 20 #1 Cs in the league. I don't think anyone is looking to deal them for Gardiner.

OP, why don't you provide us a reason why Toronto would do this instead of just throwing **** at a wall seeing what sticks.

So it's bad for Minnesota to get the better player (right now) and someone who can step right into their line up and QB the 2nd PP unit?

One more time, it's mainly a young RH for LH D since we are stacked with LH D and Carlyle has a preference to physical defenders vs silky smooth offensive ones.
