Would not be a surprise to see Jake Gardiner back in the lineup tonight.

Carlyle mentioned Liles' struggles last game in morning address, also speaking to the player at the end of practice yesterday.
Gardiner should be playing, but not for Liles

I wish the ACC could muster up any chant at all at any given time; but a "Burn The Boats" chant would be amazing.

It kind of bugs me when Reimer stands on his head; yet the crowd can't co-ordinate to show any unified response.

leafs have a better team than raps, yet, it seems to me the atmosphere at a raps game is better
the ACC needs to step it up IMO

Agreed, and the Gardiner-Liles pairing actually looked pretty good the games they were together.

If Randy sits out Liles then I am at a loss for words.

Liles has been absolutely solid lately, he's been great at carrying the puck and moving it out of the zone/breaking into the offensive zone, and his defense has also been good, he's been very quick to recover.

Keep him in the lineup for god's sakes, and if Gardiner draws back in, replace O'Byrne, not Liles.

lol no they don't. all my exams this semester are 7-10pm, not to mention that i've had up to 3 exams in a 24 hour period on more than one occasion.

I love all the second guessing of the coach. We finally have a guy behind the bench who knows what he's doing and the "most knowledgeable fans in the league" act like they have a better idea of who should be playing. Cracks me up. Go leafs go, beat up les canadiens silvoo plait.

O'Byrne has been pretty good thus far; he is also a lot more physical than Liles. He contributes more to the concept of a big and hard to play against defence. Something that will benefit this team in the playoffs and exploit a team like the Habs.

Phaneuf, Franson, Fraser, Gunnar, O'Byrne, Liles, Gardiner

Liles and Gardiner stick out as the least physical; Gunnar may as well, but at least has the size. If it is offence they are keeping Liles in for; you'd think Gardiner could provide it.

I don't hate this move; but would equally not mind it being Gunnar dropped instead.

Carlyle is gonna need to pick 6 defensemen and stick with them. He's rotating a few guys like Wilson rotated our goalies. The guys need to be able to play without worrying about being benched the next game if they make a mistake.

I agree. ROB has looked really good in the limited time I've seen him. Big body who can skate and and hit; He fits in the Maple Leafs roster really well. They could sit Fraser too, and insert Liles & Gardiner for a change.

Ouch!
Throughout university I've had mostly weekend exams, rarely do I have weekday and when I do it's Friday or Monday. So far through my two years I've had exams conveniently place on my birthday 7-10 (December 16), mygirlfriends friends birthday (today), Easter Monday and the Saturday before Easter. The only thing I can't complain about however is that this year I'm done a good week and a half before playoffs start and it won't interrupt my watching.

They should Split up Fra - Fra instead of removing liles for gards.. Fra-Fra hasn't looked that good lately (Randy's been using them alot tho, 20+ a night) but I don't like the notion that the 3rd pairing is 'unbreakable'...

It's my brother's Mehndi celebration tonight, then his wedding reception tomorrow. I have relatives coming in from Montreal today, so hopefully the Leafs win so I can troll them.

Hope kadri picks up his game, and kessel keeps on scoring, how long has it been since we had 2 effective scoring lines concurrently

We have lost once in regulation in the last 12 games. I think the coach knows what he's doing.

We have 8 NHL D (if you want to count Kostka) and only 6 spots. I don't mind seeing some rotation.
