We gotta stop tossing this weak little backhanders as his pads and praying they go in.

This just in: Nabakov doesn't blow.

Dreadful first period. Hank was the only Ranger that showed up.

Every single ****** shot has been when guys were getting pressured. I'd much rather throw it at the net then have a scrum on the boards.

Great period. I'm very optimistic after that.

Some of you are really hyperbolic.

When I think of bad first periods, that game against Chicago last year comes to mind.

Pretty even in my mind right here.

Fun period. DZ looks slow and the Rangers are taking too many soft, weak-angle shots.

Need to get the forecheck going in the 2nd

Not bad, not great. Isles got the better chances.

When it has absolutely no chance of going in, it's a glorified turnover.

Pretty even. I don't see why people are saying that was a terrible first.

I don't think it was that bad. The Islanders had the puck advantage in puck possession but I don't think we should be worried.

Fast paced and exciting period. Relatively even, although the Isles had better scoring chances.

Looking forward to the second

It's too bad Asham had to take a penalty there. Hopefully the team comes out strong the 2nd period or else they are going to just keep waiting to see how long it takes the Islanders to score first, which they just about did already. It could have been worse but it definitely could've been better.
