Was hoping for Carrozzi to turn out to be at least a decent goalie prospect but doesn't look like it. Oh well. Still hope for Pasquale and recent draft picks.

I don't see Dex and Santorelli hanging around. Mittens is as good as gone. Jason Jaffray signed another deal with the IceCaps.

Dekanich and Kubalik are both for sure gone since both have signed in KHL for next season. We will retain Kubalik's right ala Kulda this year.

Festerling has also signed in Germany, don't see him ever coming back to NA.

Maceneauer is the only guy I wasn't sure if they would qualify. Guess they chose not to, could give Sutter an opening to make the AHL next season.

Out of the UFA's which ones seem likely that we will be watching them suit up next year for the Jets?

My guess is Wellwood, Clitsome, hopefully Antro, and possibly Santorelli... unless we successfully make a play for a "bigger" name UFA.

Nope.

I wonder if Jason Gregoire will ever develop into an NHL player at some point? Whatever scoring acumen he showed in college doesn't seem to have translated in the pros.

Very unfortunate - I was happy about his decision to sign with Winnipeg when it happened. Seemed to have some touch around the net at the College level.

You guys want santorelli as well? I'm shocked tangradi was qualified. We have some serious offensive constipation in wright, Slater, thorburn under contract. Now add peluso and tangradi, and you guys want to add santorelli too? Maybe we should have a bottom six with all those guys and they will combine for a total of 5 goals.

Looks like were set for next year boys, plan the parade.

We can trade or waive any one of those guys at any time...

Wright Slater and Thor are all one ways. Although Gagnon was a one way as well, and he spent most of the year on the rock. Peluso won't make it through waivers, tangradi or santorelli might, you never know.

My point is this is the year we should be focusing on upgrading and getting rid of the scrubs.

I believe Maxime became expendable when the Jets drafted overagers Lipon and Kichton this past weekend. I see both of them in IceCaps jerseys this fall.

"One way" doesn't mean anything when it comes to waivers, but yes, they're all waiver eligible.

Extending qualifying offers to even your scrubbiest NHLers is pretty standard. The ones that don't get qualified either have no future with the club (ie. Carrozzi) or have to be given QOs that greatly exceed what you'd pay for them on the open market.

I do agree about Santorelli, and I'd be pretty surprised if he was re-signed.

Since when are these two expected to contribute much offensively at all? Thorburn is your 12th/13th/14th forward.

Slater is your 4th line center that wins draws, plays solid defense, plays physical, and sometimes contributes offensively but it's not his game.

I actually think Slater could be a solid producing 4th liner if you could get a "playmaking" 4th liner.
Slater shoots well and lots for a 4th liner, just needs help pushing play forward and someone setting him up.

Would've liked to give Santorelli at least one more year, but no surprises.

Well he's certainly shown a bit of a scoring touch before. Both years where he scored 11 and 13 his S% was over 10. His career S% is 8.9. Not bad for a 4th liner. At least I think so. lol
