So Scheifele has just had two 5 point games back to back in the OHL finals, with a 4 goal 3rd period tonight to boot to will his team to the W.

Trouba at 19 is playing in the World Championships and not only not looking out of place, but looking good.

Lowry won WHL player of the year, and then went to the Rock and got great reviews from the coaches.

Cautious optimism for the future??

Yeah I would say this organization's prospect pool has taken a step forward over the last couple years. Cautious optimism at the very least.

And with Noel, loving the rookies, the 3 combined will maybe get a total of 10 minutes ice time combined, mainly 4th line and 3rd pairing

If we win on the road

Not sure what to do if we win at home.

Screw being cautious. I'm debating whether I put my Stanley Cup Finals patch on my Lowry, Trouba or Scheifele jersey. Probably the Lowry, right next to the "C."

Guys I grew up in a junior city and watched 20 plus years of WHL hockey and saw some absolute beasts like Modano and Sakic and I never recall anyone getting close to back to back 5 point games in a WHL final especially against an excellant junior team like London! I know Mark is playing against kids but he is a kid. This is two levels past dominant and I am not sure they have a name for it.

Time to clear out a stall for Scheifele in the Jets locker room.

Seriously. I didn't agree with the decision to send him down, but I can understand it in the context of giving him a full year to prove he can dominate junior competition. He's done that and then some, and has made an emphatic statement in this OHL final against a powerful London team.

Barring injury or some unforeseen conditioning setback over the summer, he should be penciled in to the 23 man roster to start the 2013-14 season. I can't think of what else Scheif can do to prove he belongs on an NHL roster.

*Disclaimer: Opinion may be clouded by present overwhelming levels of man love for Scheifele. Previous statement may be subject to change. Probably not though.

I wonder if Hfboards is regretting saying he's only the 33rd best prospect now. Closer to top 10 in my mind.

No video out as of yet; there is this though...

Scheifele explodes in third as Colts down Knights

Video will eventually be attached to the above story as well.

Nah man, Ryan Strome with his whopping 0.04 PPG more in the regular season is clearly 22 spots better than Scheifele. Who cares if he's scored 39 points in the OHL playoffs, dude falls alot. And PPG in 2 years at the WJC? Doesn't matter, he was the reason they choked vs. Russia.

Well, so what ..... why didn't he get 5 pts per game the other 17 games ? He's sooooo pathetic !!!! Definitely a wasted pick.
