ducks vs not ducks: 8ish pm

Discuss phylogenomics

From Eric Stephens @icemancometh :

Quote:
Boudreau confirmed that Fowler (lower body) won't play. Defenseman still looked pretty stiff walking
Not sure about lines... probably:

RPG
someone-cogs-someone/old man
rat person-gorilla person-rat gorilla
lucky guy-worthless guy-lucky guy

FB-SS
not fowler-not fowler
not fowler-definitely not fowler

The guy we'll blame for losing the game in net

This game brought to you by:

The Neyman Allocation which says we suck

nh = n * ( Nh * σh ) / [ Σ ( Ni * σi ) ]

Ah, beautiful. I think I'm getting the hang of how you create these things.

OK, so I was cycling the SART today and passed by the HC about 11:00. It looked like the team was having a morning skate judging by the people hanging out and the bus parked by the arena.

I pulled into the lot just before the players started coming out. So as Getz came by I asked him if he was 100% healthy and he confirmed he was. You don't think he would lie to me do you? I also told him to pound the **** out of those guys tonight and he said he/they would. So, straight from Getz' mouth, pull out your vCash and head for the wagering windows now!

Uh, I also noticed why Hazy is NOT emergency back up material. His fitness level is...well, let's just say there is a reason they never show him on TV much below the neck. I think he's on Coach Gabby's diet.

Phylogenomics are unsustainable. Unless you use a stat to indicate possession, and don't comprehend it is merely a correlation rather than a causation, and are too intellectually shallow to understand that "best predictor" is not the same as "good predictor". Then they're totally sustainable.

Go Ducks!

Yikes... 10PM start... well, Buffalo Wild Wings should be fairly empty except for some people watching the Rangers vs Mariners.

Over/under "lucky" references at 43 per period. Roughly one for every 30 seconds of play, plus a few extra for goals and calls.

And on the topic of goals, Anaheim is only allowed to score between eight minutes in and six minutes out of each period, and only in a 4x2 area in the middle of the slot. The pass to get the puck there must be good to indicate some level of skill, but not too good to give the indication of a certain "L" word.

These are the rules.

On the note of goal scorers, only those with the reputation for scoring may score a legitimate goal. Anyone termed a "grinder", a "scrub", or Radek Dvorak, may not score without it being deemed extremely lucky.

These are the rules.

So I made a mistake going with Belesky for the first goal?

Under the article of goal keeping, Anaheim must allow between two and four goals and perform no more than a maximum of 24 saves, lest the goalie be deemed "hot", and the meaning of the win forfeited. No goal post shots are permitted.

These are the rules.

There are no mistakes. There is law and there is the unfortunate breaking of law.

When you take a stratified sample (cut the population into different strata, and take a simple random sample from each stratum), that formula will tell you how many samples you should take from each strata, given a fixed overall sample size.

By any chance, was this equation given to you by a group of knights?

So, you're talking about cutting people into little bits. Is this like a Soylent Green thing, a Motell Hell thing, or an Eating Raoul thing?
