Nobody ever acknowledges it but the guy usually isn't very good in the playoffs, outside of last year. Pissed me off so much in those old Thomas vs. Lundqvist arguments how people just seemed to ignore playoff play.
A lot of people seem to acknowledge he's not the same in the playoffs, and it's been said about him for years. I've been critical of him in the playoffs as well. However, which goals are you faulting him for tonight?
There was one very big softy, although he may have been screened.
Then you have the Rangers defense leaving a three time, reigning Rocket Richard winner wide open on the PP at the side of the net, and then the Rangers let up a breakaway. I'm not faulting him at all on either of those, and the Capitals could have EASILY put up five goals tonight with the way they played.
Very glad to see the Habs lose. At the same time I was happy that the Sens won. I know they are a rival and I hate them when we play them, however I've found myself rooting for them this year when they aren't playing the Bruins. MacLean has done an incredible job and he's quite a character.
Kings-Blues series is easily the most entertaining thus far. Those teams don't seem to like each other, lol. I'd hate to face either team in the playoffs.
