Why are you predicting the next injury?

Besides, these things happen to every team.

Hope they mean what they say that Bats will be back tomorrow. Or is it going to turn out like his ankle? Was supposed to miss just one game, ended up missing the whole Boston series.

Big difference between ankle sprains and back spasms. You can play through back spasms if need be. You risk serious injury if you play with a bad ankle.

Don't like the way Bautistas season is going. Gonna be another injury plagued season?

Shi Davidi ‏@ShiDavidi
#bluejays will activate Lawrie tomorrow

Yayayayayayyaya Lawrie is back!

Shi Davidi ‏@ShiDavidi
Santos going to DL with triceps strain

Mother of ****. One guy gets healthy, another goes down. They need to call up an actual bullpen arm and get rid of Ortiz. Lincoln has been pretty bad in AAA so I'm not sure he gets the call-up.

Good win. Wish they were better with runners on base though.

Gibby - Expect Lawrie to be back in the lineup at 3b tomorrow night and Jose Bautista back in RF.

So they are 3-1 in their last 4 games, Lawrie is coming back, the starting pitching is coming around nicely, overall things are looking up I think. We're going to be over .500 after this homestand.

yeah it will be interesting to see if Gibbons puts Lawrie as the leadoff hitter. Personally that would be my choice - he's just a better hitter then Bonifacio and can actually work counts. I have no idea what they will do.

That's how I'd prefer it. Middle infield is bad offensively but if they can provide the Jays with some good defense, I'll take that because rest of the line-up should still be good offensively.

Lawrie is an ex-factor though. I mean, if the guy starts producing offensively like we've seen, man the line-up gets so good when Reyes comes back. Right now, we have Edwin/Jose/Lind all starting to come around and starting pitching is coming around too. Guys just have to stay healthy at this point.

Kawasaki is a little sparkplug. He and Izturis have done an admirable job filling in thus far.

Aaron Loup and Casey Janssen should have a baby together then hide him so we can get first dibs on having him as our closer in 20 years...

Agreed, without Reyes the offense from the middle infield is not looking good but the defense will be okay from them. Kawasaki will likely provide very good defense at SS for us.

But apart from those two guys, Im not to worried about our offense. That 1-4 is still one of the best lineups in the league, then you have 5-7 of Lind, Arencibia and Rasmus which can provide some run supports (theyll strike out a lot and wont get on base a ton, but they have some power). So Im not to worried.

If our pitching can play like we know they can (like they are right now), I see no reason why this team cant start picking up some steam, then when Reyes gets back (I dont want him rushed) in late June early July itll get exciting.
