No, Ference deserves to be benched for the remainder of the season in my opinion , he's been complete garbage.

I'd like to see Redden in the line up too, i mean you did trade a pick for him...may as well see if he can contribute instead of just lugging him along as depth.

Chara/Dougie
Seids/Boychuk
Redden/McQuaid (Nothing against Bart, just to see what he has, guess you could scratch Boychuk if you wanted to)

They could play it and just tell the fans to stay home

I think it's too late to cancel a game.

I'd hope they cancel it if they can figure out it actually is terrorism. That's just way too dumb a risk to take for the sake of the fans, players and arena personnel.

My only question is with how much of mess the season has been with it being short, how do you reschedule? push it back a day or just push it back towards the end of the season similar to how they do it with baseball?

If the NHL cancels this game, they need to do it by 4 PM. Doesn't give them much time. You can't risk having fans at the Garden with the way downtown Boston is right now if the game is cancelled anyways.

If they play just do it in an empty arena. You can't let all these people in one area without knowing what happened.

Could you cancel a game this close to puck drop? Seems unlikely given how many people are already on their way to it. You're still going to have your crowds by the time you announce a thing.

A quick question regarding that, would the game still be on TV?

If it was me i'd pull the plug on it

Rangers fan in peace. This is a ****ed up situation. But I would be shocked if they let a game go on in Boston under these circumstances.

If the game is played, the atmosphere will be somber which is not what the sport is about.

One would think that the last thing that should happen after something like this is to collect a large amount of people in one place.

Terrorists want to spread fear - cancelling the game would set the wrong message giving them an even bigger platform. Our thoughts are with you all in Boston- let us stand united and show them we will not bend to fear.

I would understand cancelling, and I would understand proceeding with the game. In either case, my sympathies to those in Boston. That's a terrifying situation.

This exactly. I don't know how the crowd will be or what atmosphere it would be like though.

Thoughts and prayers coming from Georgia though. The fact someone would do this sickens me.

I would hope people are smart enough to make their own decision on whether they should go or not. The game must go on.

Wow, just can't see a game being played tonight especially in these circumstances. I wouldn't even want to be watching as a fan, and I wouldn't even want to be playing as a player.
