3 goals and an assist in 4 playoff games. Torey Krug looks like the REAL DEAL!

He needs to sit for Redden or Ference as soon as they are healthy...

He's had more "Wow" moments in this series than anyone else has all season.

Yeah, everyone is amazed at his offense, but he's playing some really good defense as well. He stays in position nicely. Seems to make the right decisions. Odd for a rookie to be able to enter the playoffs and look so good on defense.

No chance that he wins the 7th player next year after this post-season performance.

Love how he skates out of trouble completely cold-bloodedly even under pressure of two forecheckers. Adds a new dimension to our breakouts. Great kid.

Man oh man...is this lightning in a bottle like Greg Hawgood or do we really have something here?

This kid is fantastic.

He will if he's the most popular.

Anyone catch him skate the puck from the back of the net to the front, with Rask so close to him and a couple Rangers forecheckers nearby? It's awesome. I love it. I guess we're all too used to seeing Chara be indecisive with the puck and turning it over at the opponent's blue line or passing the puck backwards D to D.

Krug is providing what they thought they'd get from Corvo. Having a dman that can actually start up the play and SKATE the puck into the neutral zone is huge. It really opens up the options as opposed to just having the two wingers stand still while Z/Seids/Boychuk/Ference look for a pass from our defensive zobe

I remember that and remember thinking it wasn't the brightest play. Pretty easy to get burnt by that.

You also seem to be overly critical of Chara (I've seen a few posts). Last week people were debating if he was the best player in the entire NHL this postseason. Guy has one normal game by his standards and all of a sudden he's a bum. Hilarious.

as much as i like chara, he has been far from the greatest player even on the bruins this postseason. Lucic has easily been the best bruin

I haven't seen this comparison yet, so I'll make it.

Brian Rafalski.

Undersized PMD, undrafted and was highly touted.

I'm not saying he's gonna win three cups or even be as productive, but it's hard not to set our expectations high after his performance this post season thus far.
Hope he sticks, man. Love his game and really enjoy watching him

What a slapper from a kid his size, too. I wasn't expecting that goal at all last night.

Could easily be argued, certainly, and there are guys from other teams you could argue have been better than him too. I'm just saying it was a discussion, which is indicative of how dominant he's been.

There's not enough talk about how good this kid has been.

And even more encouraging to me is the confidence. Obviously pulling a Bourque and cutting in front of his goalie is a bit above his paygrade at this point, but the kid doesn't hesitate to jump into the play or to shoot. He jumped up in the play in OT during a line change! He seemingly has no fear.

Just great to see this.

really impressed by his shot accuracy, he seems to get a lot on the puck and sends it on a path to open net more often than not, compared to most defencemen who wind up and miss the net more times than not, it is easy to see why he is getting goals, maybe he has just started to refine this skill but it is forcing goalies to make saves every time he shoots

Props to Claude for playing him instead of Aaron Johnson.

Krug is excellent. Its like watching Ray Bourque again when he has the puck just he is in Don Sweeney's body.

Same with Rask. Chara, Rask, and Bergeron are why theyre here right now. I think hes having a tough time covering for the golden child, but as soon as Seids gets back he will be able to play his game again. Im shocked with the Rask hate, I know people miss crazy timmy t but he let up a ton of goals and got a pass, until the Vancouver series, in which he was crowned as the second coming of the higher power.

Asked about Torey Krug, rookie D playing well for Bruins. Attended Canes prospect camp 2 yrs ago. Rutherford says Canes tried to sign Krug.
