Hope the injury is minor enough that he gets some AHL action this year. hell, we are so freaking desperate for goals, I say call him on up to the nhl haha

I hope he makes the Oil brass look ridiculous for trading him.

He'll be a good one, I think. Should become a solid top-6 player.

He's going to be hit or miss, which is why Edmonton could move him. He'll certainly be a top six player, at this point the only thing to see is whether its in the NHL or the AHL/Europe. The guy isn't going to be a bottom sixer anywhere.

Rieder was going to join the #Pirates, but suffered a broken hand in a playoff game. #Coyotes #AHL #NHL

I am a big fan of Rieder. Hope he has lots of success and eventually becomes an impact player in the NHL.

20 to 30 percent chance of that happening, I never wanna bet against a prospect but with him it is unlikely

He just broke his hand mid week last week vs London. Its going to be awhile before he is back. On the plus, he starting playing C this year and did not look out of place. He will need some seasoning in the AHL before you can see how his game will translate.

Oiler fan here. I am a big supporter of Tobias and hope he works out well for Phoenix. I was disappointed to hear we traded him but I can understand why. I will be following his development closely.

Thought he was one of the more promising Oiler forward prospects. I think he will play in the NHL whether it is top 6 shutdown guy or bottom 6 pk'er energy guy. Whats even better is that he can play C or winger. A few inches taller and a bit heavier and hed be a machine

He is not an energy player, and he is not a shut down player.

His success on the PK comes from his speed and finding an opening the other way. He isnt a work horse by any means.

His style is very offensive, when he isnt generating offense, he isnt doing much.

I'm a Kitchener Rangers season ticket holder, think he's a great junior player, IMO, it will take a lot of work from him in order to crack an NHL roster.

To conlcude, he is a highly offensive talent who lacks a bonafide two way game. Unless he develops that, he'll struggle.

I have heard almost the opposite of him from scouting reports in that his 2 way game is his strong point. I wont disagree because obvisouly you see him in person, but its interesting to hear that side
