Leafs lose to Isles 5-3

hopefully we get this bad vibe out of our system with the stinker tonight.

A big win against the Sens can put this train back on its tracks.

Send Gardiner to the moon pls. Thnx.

We need Gunnar back so bad - it's ridiculous.

OH but wait, Gunnarsson is just a 2B defenseman.

What is it with the Leafs and 2 goal leads?
Especially against the Islanders.

All three games, we blew a 2 goal lead against NYI.

Also, Phaneuf seems to have his worst games against NYI too, for some reason Tavares and Moulson have a field day with him.

This defense is really scary.....10 GA in the last two, could've been another 5 in the NJ game if NJ actually had any firepower.

Just goes to show how thin the blueline is. If Phaneuf or Gunnar are ever injured, they look like a bunch of lost puppies.

Worst ****ing time to start playing like ass.

Oh and hometown boys Tavares, Moulson and Boyes combined for 8 pts tonight

Boyes has been the Isles whipping boy all season yet he comes out with a 3 pt game, wtf.

Gardiner didn't help Phaneuf at all tonight. Phaneuf didn't have the best of games, but it's not easy when you have Gards on your side.

They really wanna toy with us to the very end, don't they?

Awful game and while he wasn't the only player having a bad game, I was really annoyed watching Gardiner play tonight. I was even more annoyed that Carlyle paired him with Phaneuf. This is the same guy you sat in the press box for several games because he hasn't been playing well defensively and you decide to to put with your #1 dman and let him face top guys all night long. Every time Gardiner touched the puck tonight, I actually thought to myself that I would rather have Kostka in there because at least he's throwing his body around and blocking shots all over the ice.

The loss was a total team effort tonight and what sucks the most is that it started off so promising. I don't know why but the the Leafs don't play the Isles well. They didn't last season and they haven't this season. I don't think any lead is safe when the Leafs play against the Isles.

I'm not sure what Carlyle needs to say to them but he's gotta figure something out because the team is becoming complacent. While it's going to take an outstanding run of the table by the Jets for us to not make playoffs, this team is still holds their fate in their hands. They need to figure out a way to keep that power in their court and not end up relying on other teams losing.

Guys I have a confession to make. Today when I went to pick my brother up from school I put my Maple Leafs car flag up for the ride. We probably lost because of that. I'm sorry

Leafs will have to win 3 of 4 to secure 5th. Not impossible since we play the two Florida teams, Ottawa, and Montreal.

This team is ****. I refuse to believe it is the coach's fault. I have a feeling with all the media attention all the players' heads are swollen. This off season I want to see a lot of changes. Somthing is not right here...Same story every year. I want to see hard working players not the "I am entitled" players on this team anymore. Enough is enough

I wouldn't panic until we've lost our next 2 games. Then it becomes to close for comfort.

Must be nice for Tavares to always come home and always have a great game. CAN WE PUT THIS GUY ON HIS ASS ONCE AND A WHILE!! Holy **** talk about playing soft against him. No wonder all these Toronto boys have great games...we allow them to play like it's a home game for them. Hit these ****ers and nail them on their behind!

***** this team. If we don't slice Ottawa open on Saturday, I'll going to kill the servers. Scratch Fraser, he's awful. You have 3 pylons on skates in Franson, Fraser and O'Bryne back there. This team loves making it harder for themselves.

Since it got deleted:

Gardiner was aweful. Same for JvR.

I really want Kostka ahead of Gardiner if Gunnar remains injured. Gardiner is costing us games right now.
