Ya no doubt. A bit disrespectful though, don't you think?

On the other hand, Emelin has been getting pounded in the fight department this season. I know his game isn't that of being a fighter but being a physical guy, he needs to learn how to hold his own.

Disrespectful? Which part? Emilin getting his hands up high on evander 2-3 times before the fight or prust coming in with a little jawing at the end of the fight?

So this is Emelins fourth or fifth fight this year, right?

Can Zdeno Chara get an apology from all the over reactionary Montreal fans who cried that his fight with Emelin was classless because "wwaahhh, Emelin can't fight, he could dieeeeeee"?

Seems like Emelin doesn't care about it, maybe they shouldn't as well.

What kind of ******** fight was that? Kane attacking the back of the head? That can destroy spinal cord or even kill someone not to mention he clearly wanted to use that helmet against him and nearly was successful. Fighters are attacking the back of the head this year and I don't understand why. That is dangerous , it doesn't have any place in combat sports let alone should it be done in a hockey fight.

Kane should be suspended but he wont

For a guy with a plate in his face, he doesn't mind getting his hands up in others.

I loved it, great fight

Late in the game swings at the back of a guy's head with his own helmet, gets a misconduct for the ***** move. Of course Kane should be suspended.

The guy is ducking his head. What should Kane do, give him a haircut?

No suspension, helmet stuck to his hand. Prove that he had a hold of the helmet and that was his intent please

Why do I the feeling that Emelin would be embarrassed if he read this?

Nothing worth the League's time to even look at it - let alone hand out discipline.

Yep either learn to hold your own OR turtle and get your team a PP. Right now its too easy for the opposition to just get frustrated with him and drop the gloves...cause a) they know he will drop em too and b) he's a terrible fighter so they can fill him in.

Emelin's great at what he does...very physical effective d-man. But he either needs to learn to fight or keep the gloves on and accept the lumps. Eventually guys won't be so quick to jump him if they risk putting their team down for 5 minutes.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if he's at risk of a career ending injury because of a previous facial injury, Emelin should wear a full facemask.

As for Kane, I seriously doubt he would purposefully hit a guy with a helmet, especially a guy he can handle relatively easily.

Emelin ducks his head in fights so he won't get a direct face shot which, due to previous injuries to his face, could end his career. That's why Kane's shots were landing where they were.

yes precisely. Much like what Kronwall has been doing over the years. extremely physical, yet I don't recall him dropping too often. If you know you're not a good fighter, don't drop, let them take the penalty. I feel like B. Prust should be giving lessons to Moen and Emelin on how to hold your own end of a battle

No way he was trying to hit him with the helmet. If he was and he missed from that close, his aim is hilariously pathetic and he should be embarrassed.

To me, it looked like he was throwing the helmet out of the way. If he was trying to hit him with the helmet, why wouldn't he just keep banging away with it?

I love Kane, such an awesome player. He's got major maturity issues but there's maybe four or five other guys in the world with his talent and physical gifts.

He got his face broke by Svitov a few years ago. I'm not sure why he's even fighting.

Were you not watching?
Did Kane grab his helmet and swing it at Emelin? Yes
Did Kane punch Emelin in the back of the head? Yes
Does punching someone in the back of the head potential paralyze or kill someone? Yes

Go ahead, try to dispute it you'll look stupid doing it.

So what if Emelin ducks his head? That still doesn't mean you continue to attack the back of the head. 1 punch as a mistake sure but he had plenty of time to stop himself from doing it and he didn't.He could have went for uppercuts or left handed jab or just wrestled him down.Sorry but it was dirty and it CAN kill someone like I said previously. Anyone thinking otherwise is just being stupid.

Right i know. Then don't fight back, turtle and get your team the PP. Guys will for the most part stop attacking you unless the game is out of reach.

You are correct. In the world's major fightsport productions punching to the back of the head is strictly forbidden, and those guys are wearing gloves. Kane is an *******.
