This is GREAT! Definitely going to try to be there for this! Been to two minor league outdoor games the past two years and they're an AWESOME experience, especially in baseball stadiums.

Sorta bittersweet.

I love the outdoor games, but I think part of the reason I love em so much is the fact that they are so exclusive. Having six kinda makes them lose their luster imo.

Was hoping for CitiField but this is awesome!! i guess they did it for the popularity of the Yankee Stadium name as opposed to picking the nicer stadium haha.

Cant wait!!!

Between these outdoor games at the Super Bowl, it's gonna be a sports super-week like no other in New York.

It's always been about winning. You win, the rest comes along. Great to see this though. Isles-Rangers in Yankee Stadium, it's about time.

Curious if the stadium games are going to do the who throwback jersey thing. Would be fun to speculate some of the Islanders options. Could generate a decent 3rd heading to Brooklyn.

I'm happy the Isles are finally getting one of these. but 6 outdoor games in 1 year? Kind of going to ruin the novelty pretty quick.

I'm hoping this stadium series is just a one year thing. Maybe an attempt by the NHL to make up for the lockout.

If they mess with the shoulders it'll look like the Oilers jersey. If they just use the dynasty jersey, then fans will say it's too similar to what they currently wear & won't be in any rush to buy it. I'm thinking either a Brooklyn 3rd or something pretty out there ala the Pens current 3rds (which started as an outdoor jersey).

Our jersey already is throwback.

Yeah i was going to edit it mentioning i know our current jerseys are almost identical to the originals (or throwbacks) but i figured you all knew what I mean. Should of put "" around throwback.

am i alone in my love for this jersey? i would MUCH rather this one as a 3rd jersey, as opposed to the mets wanna be jersey we currently employ as our 3rd.

even that logo on our current 3rds are a billion times better than what they wear.

But yes, you are all alone in your love for the fisherman jersey. it is/was horrific.

Those jerseys harken back to one of he worst periods in the franchises history. The current thirds need to follow them into the incinerator.
